I have modified my car so the tire tub came out of my car. This car is rust free so is this piece. Maybe someone who is doing a resto job might want this.I figured i would offer this up before it went to the recycler.

Hi Guys, When I removed my rear Tokiko Illuminia shocks from my 280ZX , I accidently or unwisely pulled the lower end to release it from it's perch resulting in loss of some oil and gas from the shock at the seal where the shaft emerges from the body. Illuminias are not in production (for 280ZX) any more and I want to get it serviced and restored to normal operation. Does anybody Know if this is possible and who can do it ? pcs:bandit:

I went to the local nissan dealer to get an OEM oil filter for the 240Z, he said h had some but there were down in storage. He came back with an old drity Nissan box with a big blue oil filter in it. I didnt think it was usuable but it was so cool I paid him the $4.50 and took it with me. Nobody at zcar.com seems to know how old it might be, you guys seem to be more into this kind of thing so I figured I'd ask here.... What do you think? I'm thinking atleast 80s.

Just a few months ago many Z enthusiasts were concerned about the destiny of the Nissan Heritage Vehicles due to the relocation of Nissan's offices to Tennessee. Well for those who have never had a chance to view them now they can! Here is a press release about an event at the Lane Museum in Nashville. Now the public can see them and appreciate them for their contribution to automotive history rather than them just sitting in a warehouse collecting dust. Watch for more news regarding a new display that will open at the museum in the near future. Where can I find the proper diameter copper washers for the oil pan plug? I ordered some spare ones a year ago and they are too small. They are not anymore listed in the Motorsport catalog and I think they came from them In the meantime, I use teflon tape and works fine. What is the ID 11/16?

Seems like everyone refers to the 1972 240 as the best around and I was wondering what prompts that attitude. Why different than 73 or 71?
