I thought this was a cool article Edmunds picked the 240z as one of the most significant cars from 1966-2006 http://www.edmunds.com/40thanniversary/index.html

Well, I finally purchased my 1971 240z if any of you remember the pics that I showed. Got it for $625! I am going to flush all the fluids in the car and do normal tune up plus a little extra. The engine/tranny has been rebuilt, so all of what I am going to do is replace some of the hoses. What are the best products/options to shoot for? Oil Oil Filter (K&N?) Air Filter (K&N?) Radiator Coolant Water/Coolant mix Spark Plugs Spark Plug wires Battery I might end up flushing these out, just to be safe so what would be some good fluids here if I do flush these? Brake fluid Tranny Fluid (4-Speed manual) Plus what are some good tires. It has the stock 14" rims with …

green 240z on ebay. what do you think about the 1970 z on ebay in Brisbane, Australia. I think the price is to high as the car dosn't run and has flairs, etc. One thing about the car that cought my attention is the build number as I have the 213th z.

I have this old Z that I have owned since 1994, it is a 1978 that had poor paint and 175,000 miles on it when I bought it. I got it for $1400. I drove it hard and fast, I got into putting factory parts into it along with custom stuff like exhaust, springs, shocks, stereo etc... I had to park the car when I moved over seas for military duty, for the first 3 years overseas the car was stored in an in door storage facility paid for by the U.S. Navy. Then I moved to Japan and had to take the car out of storage to have it stored outside in sunny San Diego since 2006, hardly ever used or started. Everytime I put I new battery in the car it starts on the first turn of the k…

Well, the last time I was on this site, I was looking for tires. That was a while ago. Since then, my car has got 4 new tires 235 60 14, new seats, new steering wheel, door panel, shift boot, hood, headlight surround, exhaust donut gasket. Also my carbs have failed me. I tuned them for hours and couldn't get them to quit fouling out the plugs. Seeing is how they are flat tops, I have decided to ditch them and make a homemade intake manifold for a Carter AFB 500cfm 4 barrel. I'll have some pictures up later today.

Sorry guys, I have a chance to buy a new Cayman and the Z must go. Series One was being modified to be a track car before I rescued it. Civilized it a bit (fresh 3.54 diff replaced a cluncky 3.90), completely stripped and refurbished the interior, installed new fuse block, parking light and headlight relays. Travelling the last three weeks in September and would like to strike a deal before departing. I have a Midwest Express round trip voucher if that would help pick the car up. See the car in the classified section. Thanks!

I have six varied original Japanese wheel weights that came on a late '71 240Z. Or rather, came on the set of wheels I picked up a while back from a late '71. These weights are remarkably simple, with almost no casting marks on them. One has '30' (the weight in grams, I assume) barely visible, and I think I can almost make out a '40' on the larger one. One has a small dent in the lead, not certain where that came from. Would these be something that one of you that are doing the nuts and bolts restoration might like to have? I'm not looking for cash for these, but would entertain interesting or useful small items in trade. (For example, I'd love to find a map light lens-o…
