Good afternoon everyone not sure where to post this but i am just curious to what you guys think my 71 240z series 1 value would be? i see prices all over the place and contemplating selling it because we might be moving in the next 6 months or so and i don’t have a truck or trailer to haul it anywhere and i could use the money. original L24 4 speed runs and drives but i think the carbs need tuning or rebuilt as it sputters a bit. brakes need bled but the car was previously restored. minimal surface rust on the body, the car still looks fairly good at least to me. interior is in nice shape other then the common dash being cracked. Thank you guys for everything and i …

Does anyone know of a source for White diamond vinyl interior kit...? I hired a "professional" to install the kit I bought almost 2 years ago and he butchered all 5 pieces. I ordered a kit on December 1, 2020 and have yet to receive it...nor have any of my inquiries as to a delivery date been answered. I am wondering if anyone knows of a set that might be for sale. Thanks...Ryals

Greetings all, Happy New Year I finally pulled my gas tank out of my series one car. I noticed a few things that I don't have answers to, so I thought I would post here: Video Player is loading. Play Video Replay Unmute Current Time 0:19 / Dur…

During one of my question threads, someone recommended that I provide my car information with VIN #. Do I just provide that information with every post, or is there somewhere in my profile that I can enter it? I looked at others' posts and don't see it in their profile. I'm good either way, but I'd like to be consistent with what you more experienced folks are doing. thanks

I thought that our CZCC members might like to contribute their thoughts here. Who knows? We might inspire someone out there to start making some of these items. My nomination would be: Differential Mount Insulator for the early-design cars with angled rear halfshafts (Nissan PN 55415 E4102) This part was used up until 71-06, so it was installed on about 30,000 Z's. If 5% of those cars are still in running or restorable condition, that would mean there's a ready market for perhaps 1,000 of these early-style diff mounts. To the best of my knowledge, there's no way that any of the later-style mounts can be modified to fit. Typical owner solutions seem to…

I have a 1977 Datsun 280z and I was surprised to see that my spare tire well is quite shallow. The tire sticks out past the bottom of the trunk bed and ios covered by a board. Oof hopefully that makes sense. What exactly is that? Cuz I know most cars have a deep wheel well that holds a full size tire.

HI all I am going to be looking for some help in the couple months after i get my car back from painter; i take it in around February 1st for paint. I would like someone who can devote at least 5 full days. Prefer someone close enough to drive, but i am open to someone who flies in/out (i will pay if cheap flight) and pay for hotel, food and fair wage in cash. If interested or know someone who might be interested message me and lets talk, i can phone if you like. Main thing is whoever is very familiar about most aspects of 240z and parts. thanks

Years ago I had a tow hitch on my ZX, so when Dad decided he had enough of me sleeping till noon the first summer out of high school, and not really having any direction, Dad decided (kicked out gently) it was time I got educated, and I went off to A&P school to be an airplane mechanic. So me and my 81ZX with a Uhaul trailer headed down the road. So, my question is, since that was over 25 years ago, and I'm sure I dont remember how it really towed, has anyone been towing with their Z? I also believe it was the dual axle trailer as well, because I brought a couch. I want to install a hitch system on my 240z I'm restoring for a teardrop camper. Does anyon…

Hi, I am going to be inheriting a 280Z and it looks like the time is drawing close. In 1976 an older friend bought a brand new 280Z in British Racing Green. He and his wife then promptly went on vacation, hiring me to keep an eye on the place (by letting me stay there). As an 18 year old I couldn't help myself - when they left the car had 80 miles on it and when they came back it had over 700 miles on it. He didn't say much about it, but I know he was somewhat miffed at me. I did wash and detail it before they got home so maybe that made him feel batter. Anyway, long story short, he still has the car. I know he has maintained it at the dealer re…
