daughter decided to leave her father (me) before finishing college, so she moved out and took a school car with her 96 mitz. and told me to do what i want to with the hot rod,,, fine i'm selling it.. I am the second owner of it ,, i live in florida the northwest side .... let me know ... Hi everyone, I own a 71 240z that is completely rusted out and a 72 shell in what I thought to be good shape, but unforntunetly I just figured out that its crooked... I've spent the last year or so picking and rebuilding all the 240z suspension and drivetrain parts... bought the toxico springs and struts, bushings even the rear disc conversion, not to mention the motor mods... ( id like to throw a shout to all you members, although I've never posted before, I've gathered alot of information from this site aswell as many others...thanks so much) However, I dont have a decent frame...ones rusted to $^!# and the other crooked and I dont beleive I could ever …

Here I will post any progress on my Z with pictures and videos. Here are some photos from before I bought my Z for $2000 on November 15, 2003 right before I bought the car notice the easter egg under the car (picture taken in september 03) the engine before purchase car had no air cleaners on it towing it home 3/4 mile with a rope and VERY little brakes...had to stand on the pedal to get it to slow down...found it out the hard way. drove the car for a year like this a front shot.

I almost have all of the hoses replaced in my car. Picked up the replacement upper heater hose from MSA on Friday. Installation on the engine side is a breeze. So next I look under the dash to see where and how the hose connects to the heater core. Keep in mind I have AC on the 71Z, so that cramps my access on the passenger side interior foot well. The hose is secured with the original Datsun hose clamp. But here's the rub. It looks like the clamp was installed before Datsun put the glass and the dashboard in on the assemble line. The phillips head screw on the clamp is pointed towards the sky. Which means there is no way possible to get to it save pulling the da…

Well I read somewhere that a standard 240z has a weight distribution of 51:49 - almost perfect. Now consider a 240z with an sr20det in it - being a 4 cylinder (will seart completely behind the front axle) and having an all alloy design (meaning its lighter) it will alter the weight distribution significantly and from what I can see this alteration will make the car rear heavy, which in turn will lead to fun but not a very efficient handling dynamics on the racetrack.... There are currently 4 Series I 240s up for auction on Ebay (two '70s and two early '71s). One '70 is a sub-2000 and the other is a sub-4000.
