Don't know who you guys are getting parts through, but I gotta give a "heel ya" to Motorsport (zparts.com). Ordered parts through these guys on line. They called me to tell me they were shipping them right then and that the plug wires I ordered were on sale and that they were adjusting my bill! How cool is that? I know $10 might not seem like a lot, but that whole honesty thing was pretty freakin' cool! Two thumbs up for those guys!

1972 510 Wagon, AT A/C 56k miles, 94 year old granny(not mine) bought it new, have owned tons of old cars in my 50 years and this is the cleanest ever. NO rust, all original, except tires and the like. Runs like a new one. Is there a 510 site as good as this Z site out there? Mike

I know this isn't the right place for this but I want to get some more attention. The classified ads obviously arn' t the reason people come to this site. Anyways, I need an air cleaner, flapper or not I don't care, but has to fit roundtop su carbs. I also need a set of stock springs that arn't sagging. I don't have the cash to upgrade at this time but I think that my rear springs are sagging. Thanks.

I just have a question because I am still new to this. I have a question for all the people that have raised compression to 10.1:1. I was thinking about doing the mod that this guy has in his post. http://www.geocities.com/zgarage2001/head.html Buuut! What kind of rings would you have to use to keep them from blowing! And what kind of other mods besides header and more breathing through throttle body ETC. would you have to do to actually make it scream! I know the difference between rings and how to crosshatch the cylinders for the right rings but do you have to get performance rings from say http://www.zcarparts.com/store/merchant.mvc? or can I just use stock rings…

ebay 240Z Flame job is a little much for my taste, but otherwise nicely done! Even the chrome fire extinguisher and oil filter fit in pretty well....

Hey folks, I'm looking at yet another L24 for additional parts. If I do this, I'm going to have some spare stuff left over. Anyone have any thoughts on value if I were to offer things like: Early (non-flapper) airbox4 screw SUs on '72 manifoldsL24 head, either E31 or small-valve E88 (not sure which)L24 short block, either a '70 or a '73 (again don't know which yet)Additionally, I'm going to have an L28 long block available too. An F54/P79 combo from an '83 ZX. Will likely need rings (oil control, has good compression). It will probably go cheap just to get rid of it. Anyway, any ideas on value of the L24 stuff? Or should I just figure on ebaying it all?

I made it back this morning after 1050 miles 16 hrs drive with no time to rest. Picked up vin# 913. Build date Jan 70. I went out on a limb because I couldn't get an answer as to whether or not the engine was original or not.As it says in my post better lucky than good they matched. My wife was concerned about the shape of the car not having much info and I said if it is all there I don't care what shape.Turns out to be in a lot better shape than I could have hoped for.Not only is most of it is there but there is a ton of extra parts. What is not there I have already. The only thing missing is all the knowledge to put it back original.I am not worried about that because of …

FWD. Message On an August morning in 1978, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a professional Formula 1 racer, drive at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris. The film was limited for technical reasons to 10 minutes; the course was from Porte Dauphine, through the Louvre, to the Basilica of Sacre Coeur. No streets were closed, for Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit. The dr…
