I'm considering switching out my stock ignition system with and electronic system. What do I need to purchase for this conversion and what should I consider with this swap. My car is a 1973 240z. I have been told I could get a system out of a 280z and this would be a direct fit. Please advise of any pitfalls or performance advantages. Ken

I have a 1977 280Z and i was thinking about putting performance header and exhaust on it. I was going to get a Monza system for both of those items and i was wondering if anyone knows about Monza? Like how it sounds and performs. If not Monza should i get another brand?

Someone is listing a car on eBay that is supposed to be one from the Nissan America restoration program -- you know the one with the "F" word. Anyway it was supposed to be in the program, before it ended and wasn't completed. Comes with lots of new parts. Might be worth a look to someone with the money for a partially completed project. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-Z-Series-1972-Datsun-240z-FACTORY-PROJECT-CAR-WOW_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6187QQitemZ4623876995QQrdZ1

Hey, check it out. I restored my P30 intake mainifold. Its kind of a hard one to come by. After much blasting, and clear-coating, it looks pretty much like new. pics attached...

Finally - the Solstice! Several years ago we discussed the proposed Pontiac Solstice on the e-mail based Classic Z Car list... Well finally it's here, released, in the metal. First I want to clear the air that these are not my decisions. Second these choices were made by an AMERICAN PUBLICATION so they are slanted because of the readers of this magazine. Okay now that the disclaimer has been made here were the choices, in a non-specific order, and significance. 1965 Honda RA272 F1 Car, the first Japanese formula 1 winner 1968 Toyota 2000 GT Carol Shelby race team, focus from Fords to Toyotas in the 60's 1970 Datsun 240 BRE 240Z, with a honorable mention of the Datsun roadsters that came before the Z 1971 Datsun BRE 510, specifically the dominance in this class in 71 and 72. 1974 Mazda RX-3 The land speed record racer at Bonneville G productio…

Hey guys. I've updated the web page for the Z I am working on. I still have a long way to go. Ran into a little delay when my sciatic nerve reminded me who's boss when I was removing the right caliper. I still have a few more days of hobbling around like a 90 year old man. Feel free to click on as many ads as you like.... www.project280z.com

OK this is not a "Wanted to Buy" ad this is a fishing expedition. My Son, the "Wonder Boy" who has his Honda Prelude sitting out back with a terriffic knock in the motor. He can't work with no transport, well he could but he may as well get better than fast food money, and I may kill him if I can't get him out of my hair. There was a warning issued with the Prelude purchase, tear it up and it's yours to fix, buy something I have an interest in and I will help work on it. There is a Z car that is close enough to go get, at a reasonable price, and it seems to be close to running. It needs carbs, there are none included but the manifolds are there. Don't really want to buy …

Has anyone inspected this car up close and can attest to its condition? http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/6/3/82878963.htm In a sea of red, orange and silvers cars with black interiors, this blue/blue example looks like a gem The Panasport wheels and passenger mirror are nice subtle touches to an otherwise stock looking car. I hope someone will chime in and say the car isn’t worth it, so I can quit dreaming and get to the job at hand: restoring the orange ’72 I already own. I need another car like a hole in my head. :stupid:

This will be the 3rd year for Zdayz at Tail of the Dragon, in Deals Gap TN. It sure would be nice to have a large S30 turnout! This event is a ton of fun! If you've heard of it and think its primarily for 350Z's, its not, although the organizers drive them. In its first 2 years, a different 240Z has won best of show, and its a peoples choice car show. 3rd Annual ZDayZ at Tail of the Dragon Friday, May 19 - Sunday, May 21, 2006 The 2006 event will again be hosted by Fontana Village Resort (www.fontanavillage.com)... just a short drive from Highway 129, the infamous Tail of the Dragon (318 turns in 11 miles!), located on the border of North Carolina and Tennessee. For …
