I saw this on DimeQuarterly.com; it claims to be car #599 for sale in Los Angeles: Condition could be rough. Somebody local may want to check it out.

While perusing a few other Z sites, every once in a while I'll see a Z on a jack with a door or both doors open. I've always been under the impression that's not a good idea with a unibody car. Whether using the standard issue Datsun jack or even a regular floor jack. True, False Vicky

Hi, I really like these headlights and was wondering if anyone knew where to get them. I dont know if they come blue like that or its the paint reflection or the blub is blue so it gives it that look. I found some on ebay but i'm not sure if they are the ones. I like the blue lights cause my car is gona be blue but i also want angel eyes (halo) lights. Is it possible to have both? Both that blue style and angel eyes? Or should i get these angel eyes and just use H4 blue bulbs? Has anyone done this before? Here is the link to the angel eyes http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Euro-Halo-Headlight-Nissan-Datsun-240z-260z-280z_W0QQitemZ7987292210QQcategoryZ33710QQssPageNameZWDVW…

Can anyone recommend who can perform a history check on a Z Car? All of the online services require a 17 digit VIN. I called my insurance company and they wouldn't do it. Thanks

Can someone tell me if the silver colored links on the timing chain are suppose to cover the camshaft and crank timing marks when doing a timing chain installation. I'm running into a setup problem with the silver links covering the timing marks and the #1 set at TDC , the cam shaft gear grove is off about ~ 3- 4 degrees. it looks like ( - v ) , I know it should be (-v) I think if the grove was on the left it would indicate the chain is streched, that's why I'm questioning the postion of the silver links with the timing marks. This is not a new chain I just screwed up when installing a new head gasket and didn't wedge the chain good enough. :stupid:

There is not much in the way of detail in the ad but this 71 looks to be in tip top shape and is priced right. Someone may want to jump on this. Sorry if this is not the proper place to post this. If not, I'm sure someone will school me. 240 for sale
