   Will a 19in in length muffler fit in a 240z. There's a muffler I am thinking about getting but dont know if it will clear the normal fitting location. The specs are, Body length: 19in, Cross section H x W: 11" x 4 1/2, Shape: Oval. Thanks, Saro

   This where the fun begins my brother and I have discovered a huge hole the some filled in with bondo and didn't want to worry about it. So my qestion is how do I replace a quarter panel? Do I grind of that piece of and replace it with something that I don't know about? :paranoid:

   How's it going, mate? Z was the most popular car among the young guys in JAPAN. When I was a boy( in 70's), I used to assemble a plastic model Z, instead of driving her. A couple days ago, I happend to find this web site and felt very strange or mystery and something happy.....cz, there are heaps of people who love Z in foregin country. I believe she's one of the happiest car in the world..........

   I searched around and could not find much information on this setup. I just got the ac working in my 72 240. It is the dealer installed ac and it basically just doesn't work very well. I have tried two different york compressors both with the same results. So I saw that MSA sells a COMPRESSOR CONVERSION for 70-73 z's I'm assuming that this to replace the york compressor with a newer rotary style one. So my question is has anyone used this? Or does anyone know what the compressor is from, and if it is worth it? I have not replaced my blower motor yet but that is the next step, although I still don't think it will make it work much better. On a side note, does anyone know t…

   I've always wondered what my Z would look like WITHOUT the big crash bumpers, and since I will be taking my car out to the track in a week or so, I can toss out some extra weight for a while... SOO.. what ya guys think?! Put the old one back on?! Or keep it the way it is?! This is just temporary by the way, but it's growing on me. BEFORE

   Hi, We have a new member over here who, after an accident is in a wheelchair. He's always dreamed of Zs since the mid '70s and now has a 280ZX and has begun restoring a 260 2+2. The 280 is fitted with a mechanical hand control system for the clutch and has a hand throttle (obviously) but he finds this is system a little less precise than he would wish. Anyone know of any alternatives (other than fitting an auto box), factory made or DIY ? He was thinking of some sort of hydraulic system !!! Cheers, Sean

   Hi Im seriously starting to look for a 240Z, but I'm still very much new to them, can anyone tell me what modelsand years are best, what I should be on the lookout for, and a realistic range of prices. I'm quite famillier with 1970's sports cars and there problems particularly rust, coming from owning a 69 912, however I believe that the Datsun 240Z does not have these problems, and is far better than other 70's coupes for mechanical reliability. Any thoughts appreciated cheers
