I saw that MSA had an A/C kit for 240Z's. My Z never had a/c. anyone have any feed back on this kit? is it hard to install??.. I've been thinking of doing an engine swap in the near future, and would like a/c. thought when I do the swap I can just adapt this kit to the compressor that comes with whatever engine I put in... looking for any comments on this... -dave

Hey, I'm in the process of shopping around for an exhaust system, and tips to top it all off. I like stright cut, rolled edge tips, but the only ones that fit 2.25 inch tubing have an outlet of a very "rice" evoking 4 inches. Maybe I'm wrong and it looks fine? not too big for a Z? Let me know what you guys think. You like non-rolled edge tips? Let me know. I'm open to suggestions.

Allow me to intorduce myself. I am a 17 year old from BC, Canada today i just bought my first car, a 1976 280z that had its engine swapped for a corvette engine (im not really sure what year or anything, the guy just told me that it was a corvette engine, i will have more details later). the interior is pretty beat up but that can all be fixed now for the pics: now i bought this car for $3100 CAN all i know is that it goes just as good or faster than my brother's 1990 300zx TT i would just like to know what you think of the car ( good idea to buy it or was it a bad idea?) and how i could fix it up, keep in mind i intend to change the hood

I know there are a few central floridians on this board -- can anyone recommend a mechanic? My car (finally) got here today, my tools and stuff wont be settled for a bit, plus things are hectic right now, so I'd like to take it to someone for an oil change and a tune up -- I am in Winter Springs, but will travel a bit for the right mechanic =) any suggestions? Thanks!

I wanted the classic Z look, searched and searched. There it was parked in the backyard driveway of this old guys house, his as described weekend car. I have a 90 300zx already, but it was spoiling me, I wanted no a/c, no p/s, you know something fun to drive on a backroad on a sunny California day roll down the window. She's a 75 280z 4sp. original engine 109k on it, fired up on the 1st crank, im satisfied. Enjoy the pics.

I need a little help! What does this car sound like it is worth on todays market. Seller is asking too much, of course, but I'm not sure what my max should be. 1970 240Z, VIN is about #490. Total restoration needed. Solid except for both floor pans are rusted and very slight rust under battery tray. Straight for the most part. All there except some interior covers for the gas recovery tank and antenna. All interior is shot, including dash and console. Numbers matching, doors and windows open and close well. Not running but engine is free and it steers and rolls well. All chrome is straight but needs re-chroming. AC all there. 4 spd fan blades were replaced with the later …

Need to solve gas fume problems on my 73z(especially bad after overfilling tank) and have read numerous suggestions on various sites but can't decide which avenue to take; 1) Replace all the hoses to/from tank. McMaster-Carr has them cheaper then anyone else I have found. I assume I need to fully remove the tank and reinstall, which sounds like a HUGE job based upon negative feedback. 2) Replace the one vent hose on top of the tank and plug all the others at the tank while also removing the small tank behind the filler nozzle. The lone vent hose would be connected to the down spout somehow. Still, I assume I need to remove/reinstall tank. HUGE job. 3) If replacing the hos…

I have a 71' 240z and the horn works but it sounds very very muffeled. It only lasts for a few seconds, even if I continue to press on it. Do you think I should just replace the horns, or could it be something like the horn relay is bad? Thanks, Mark
