I am headed to Canby for my very first Datsun Show. I have been to many Show-N-Shine and Mopar events but this is my first Datsun/Nissan event. Hope to buy a few things and see a lot of cars. I think the weather will be dicey but what is new in Orygone?

drove by jiffy lube a few days ago... i thought i have to admit it to you guys. yes i did it. i drove in and got my oil and differential fluid changed. i feel like i "embarrassed" my Z so bad...on the way home, the thermostat pipe on the side that i blocked off with a small plug decided to blow. i guess she was getting back at me. so i got home and replaced it with a threaded plug, and all is well. last time i go to jiffy lube, i know my baby didnt like it. not to mention they filled the diffy from the drain plug cause they "couldnt get to" the fill plug. ha. funny i can get to it. poons. just thought id share when i wanst faithful to my honey... wow. 1st time ive …

My son & I drove the '71 240Z 3 hours to ZDayZ at the Tail of the Dragon (318 curves in 11 miles!). It did very well on the road. I see now why in the early '70's the 240Z was such a hit. The car was an incredible performance car & value. We had a blast at the event. It was the only white/blue combo there and we got a lot of compliments. We met and talked to Carl Beck while waiting on the Z group shot at Fontana Dam. Carl drove 12 hours from FL for the event. My son enjoyed meeting him especially since he read the piece Carl did in SportZ Mag about getting his first 240Z and driving it across the country in the early 70's. There were 150 Z cars with probably 20 or…

Been searching for threads on rusted/snapped bolt removal. I managed to snap off one of the sway bar mounting bolts flush with frame rail. Some of the threads mentioned an "Easy Out" or "EZ Out". Can someone elaborate on this, or point me in the right direction? I've never heard of this gadget before. My bolt is snapped flush enough that I have no chance of getting vice grips on it, and unfortunately I dont have a welder either to tack an extension on. :disappoin

Theres a place where i live in marietta, GA where hundreds of kids go on fridays and saturday nights to hang out and look at each others cars, and race. lets just say there are always three brands there, toyotas, hondas, and fords. well, this weekend i decided to meet some of my friends up there. a whole bunch of just plain gay cars! why do they do that! then some turbo hondas, supercharged mustangs, blah blah. i can honestly say mine was the nicest! then a 280ZX comes up and parks next to me, so i start talking. well, saturday night on the way home, two mustang saleens, and a 350Z come up and pull in front of me, three lane road, im behind all three... oh and a giant cr…

This weekend I saw a high school classmate of mine who has a 280Z that he has owned for 20 years and 5 of his 7 children have used as a daily driver. He told me the car has 650,000 miles on it with only one valve job in its history. Simply amazing! Can anyone top that?
