I saw this ad on Craigslist where I guy is liquidating his entire inventory of Z-parts, located in Sonoma, California, for $15,000. It looks like he has A LOT of parts. I don't have any other information than what was in the ad, but thought it may be of interest to someone here. Here's a link to the ad: http://www.craigslist.org/nby/car/62610177.html

Well I'm going on week two here in Korea, not a single Z of any year seen in the last week, I've seen some pretty funny ricers and some other odd things like green brake lights but no Z's On the other hand though I don't think I've seen a single car that is more than 5 years old either, everyone seems to be driving new cars, haven't seen a single beater anywhere. It's a different place and I'm ready to go home, thank goodness for this site, it's been helping me keep my sanity!

This is the proper hub caps for an ealry Fairlady / 240 correct? This is a spare 2000 CC engine I found this morning How do ID these heads? Same with short blocks , I found 3 parts car, rust buckets but they do have drivlines, both manual trannys. Most of the parts were found in saw dust, they all need work but may be a good core for someone that needs them. Is there a publication with ID / date code locations so I can sort threw this stuff?

For those of you who don't subscribe to GrassRoots Motorsports magazine, there is a nice article in this months issue comparing the 240Z to the 350Z. All in all, it's a pretty good article. It briefly covers the history of the 240 (with no mention of the "G" name ) and spends most of the article comparing the technology and the simplicity of the 240 compared to today's "sports car" the 350Z. The best part of the whole article are the terms used to compare the styling of the two cars, in which they used the term "gimmicky" when descrbing the 350Z:cheeky: while describing the 240Z as "elegant". Well worth the price of the magazine IMO.

Looking for extra power? Ever heard of Race Gas?!! "Race Gas" is just really really high octane fuel, which burns more efficiently, and slower to provide addition power, and a smoother running engine. But RACE gas is EXPENSIVE, sometimes $7.00 a gallon! Why not aviation fuel? Airports sell 100 LL everywhere and it's blue! Damn cheap too! Airports sell the following... 80/87 RED 100LL BLUE 100/130 GREEN Jet YELLOW (DO NOT USE!) Karocine (spelling?) Per gallons from $2.75-$3.75 Now, anyone can go to an airport and BRING YOUR OWN CONTAINER and buy some gas and fill it up. It is illegal to run "race gas" or high octane gas in vehicles running on the street, only for race…

I saw this 1970 very original 240z on ebay. It needs some work if you want a nice early Z driver (new floorpans, some other body work, tune-up, etc) or a good candiate for a complete restoration. It's hard to find Series I Zs this original anymore (even has the original "D" wheelcovers & radio!) Not sure what the reserve is, but I have a feeling someone could get this for a reasonable price. I would try to buy it, especially since its not too far from Denver (near Salt Lake City), but I have 2 other 240z projects going right now.... ..Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4532044609&category=6187

I bought this Japanese tinplate 1957 Prince Skyline, about a 1:16 scale. I'm curious about the side markings USA IE 0553, and the following markings across the trunk and hood or boot and bonnet..depending on where you are :cheeky: ;CRA-X TMP-18. It appears to have been repainted to represent a staff car? It was a light blue originally , but someone has gone to quite a lot of trouble to mask all the little bits and paint it what looks to be a genuine US Army Olive green. A 1959 Christmas gift for a Capt. Goodwin? Possibly from Okinawa but that is just a guess. Anyone have an idea of what the various sign writing means? All thoughts and ideas welcome! :clas…
