Looking forward to "watching" the bidding on this auction this morning, and it "went missing". What lucky dog made off with the car? Someone on this board I hope has purchased? Car looked good, but without seller feedback or information, was risky.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4523480325&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT david

Well, spring is just around the corner here in Pittsburgh, most of the snow is gone. I haven't touched my car lately because of the weather but, now that the weather is better i can get working. I am going to be doing a total restoration and I want to know the best way about doing this. I have some books but I want to know what you guys think. One of the most important things to me is that the whole car be repainted including the interior. I will eventually lift the engine out. In what order should things be done? I need some direction!!! Dan

Hey Guys, Well, my baby got damaged the other day and I am seeking advice on how to deal with the insurance situation. The z was hit from behind and pushed into a truck (icy driveway). Rear valance and bumper destroyed, front: hood destroyed, fenders all out of whack and buckled, right headlight cowl destroyed. Has anyone dealt with ins. companies in this type of situation before? The car was a a great daily driver, 2500 spent on new suspension less than 3000 miles ago, interior restoration half way done, rebuilt l28 w/ dual Webbers. The ins. co .is progressive and they said they use their own appraisers as far as damage goes; this scares me. Any feedback ASAP would be g…

I think my windscreen has a few pits, but not a sandblasted look (FL car). I have read about how the windscreen can have moisture trapped between the layers, which looks like fogged glass at night? How can you check it to see for sure? And if that's the case, can you fix it or do something about it? thx

Got tired of getting outbid on vintage FSMs on eBay and finally won a 1997 reprint of the combined 1970 engine and chasis manuals. It arrived today and I'm really happy with it, much better and easier to use than any of the aftermarket Haynes, etc. I have. Also easier to use than the Courtesy microfiche CD I had, better to see the details with and I finally think I can tell everything I need to get my SUs plumbed in.

I'm 23 years old, and for my entire life there has been a blue 71 240z sitting in my parents garage (Even when we didn't have the room for it). My parents haven't parked in their own garage with their running cars since 1980. From what my parents remember, it originally went in there due to a broken fuel pump. Well, my father for my entire life has been telling me that he would start fixing it when he retired. Well he retired a year ago and still it sits in the garage. A few years ago my buddy and I decided we wanted to restore it, fix it, race it, and generally supe it up. We don't have any abilities that suggest we're even somewhat up to the challenge, but I figure we c…

So i dyno'd today and my best run was 147hp@5459rpm and 151ft/lb@4524rpm with 46psi @ WOT then my friend who owns the shop, who is also a really good tuner, Told me that i should lower my fuel pressure and im currently running 24psi @ idle and 34psi @ WOT. That got me 144.2hp@5347rpm and 148.6@5082rpm My setup: 60mm tb, stock EFI, Crane XR3000 ignition with a PS91 coil, MSA 6-1 header, k&n cone filter, 2.5in straight pipe through a magnaflow 2.5in turbo muffler, stock 3.54 diff, early 5 spd and timing @ 12 degrees BTDC I was also told that i should advance my time few more degrees. I plan to run 14 or 15 degrees BTDC

Hi everyone I've had a bit of a look around on the internet but at the moment there just doesn't seem to be a whole lot of retro Datsun stuff. I want to design a website on my 240z and it's restoration progress. The theme of this site is an old skool Datsun approach. I want it to have that old feel like that feeling you get when you see a Classic Muscle car parked next to a vintage fuel pump or Coca Cola sign. So i guess i would like it if people could post old advertising material. However if anyone knows what FONT Datsun was using in the 70's that would be even better. If you post pictures I can trace them using Adobe illustrator and increase their size from there. So a…
