I have a book titled "Datsun Z-Cars", copyright 1981. It was published by the Editors of "Consumer Guide". I thought I read in the book that the 280Z was sold in the US only. Is that true? Going back through the book, I can't find where it said that. :cross-eye

Apparently the Sate of California has instituted this program to help "clean the air" by buying back old cars and scrapping them in order to keep receiving Federal dollars. If you peruse this list notice some of the older Toyotas which like Nissan will indicate which model the car was by the VIN#. Someone help save the 280Z on this list: AT ADAMS STEEL 3200 E. (Moved from the 240K forum)) I'm lookin' to buy a 240 in So Cal. I found a 73 with mild body rot (hatch- below the window and doglegs / minor spot on drivers pan -not rail) Bumpers need to be straightened, turn sigs, tach and fuel gauges don't work, has engine oil leaks and is missing rear trim panels and misc interior stuff. The upside is the car is a "one family" car, carbs were replaced with the early SU's and the odo shows XX48,000 miles. Runs like it has low miles, as the engine pulls strong, tranny is tight and no noises from the suspension. Repainted about 5 years ago (fairly decent - but a different color). The owner wants 3k. Is this a reasonable amount? By the t…

I am looking at getting the MSA part #50-1412 front spoiler in urethane with brake cooling ducts for my '78 280Z. Just curious to see if any of you have some good pics of this spoiler installed. Here is the link to the one I am interested in. I've done a few searches but found very few pics. http://www.zcarparts.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=50-1412&Category_Code=7AD2 Thanks!

I am installing MSA 6-1 header and also my tripple carb set up. The headers came with a gasket, but looks pretty cheap. Has anyone used this gasket or can someone recommend where to buy a better one. Thanks Mark

Anyone know if there is a problem at MidwestZ? I haven't been able to get a response from them either by email or by phone since June 8th. I had been trying to place an order with them. Chloe always took a few days to respond but was always helpful. All I get is the answering machine and nothing from emails. Is this a side business or are they away on vacation? I was using them because of the good things I read about Chloe on this sight. Anyone with some inside knowledge? Greg

I noticed on Zcarparts.com in the store the only floor pans they sell are for the 280z and they're sold for over 300 bucks... would these fit on the 72' 240z? THanks
