OK after calling numerous Z vendors, closer to Fla, for an air pump (pulley bearing shot, what a terribly embarassing noise) for my 72 and finding none in stock, I call MSA and they have one left. Ordered it at 5:00 pm on Wednesday (10/6) and I received it Saturday (10/9) at 9:30 am. It was shipped regular ground form Cali to Fla for $7.00. Now that's what I call exceptional service. I know not everyone here likes MSA but they have always come through in the clutch for us. The 240Z is now back to being silent but deadly :devious: Vicky

Guys, My windows (especially the driver side!) are all err.. cracked? I'm not sure how to describe it. They have lots of vertical lines on them. Anyway, is there any way to repair this? If not, is there any source in Australia for new glass (if you know a place with Z glass they might have K glass too)? Most glass shops (O'Brien and the gang) only do front windscreens. Finally, why does this problem occur??

Anyone purchased from them before? Good or bad experiences? I just got a quote for a couple of parts and it turns out they add $4 per part to fill an order!!! That's a $4 fee just to pull the part off of the shelf. Well the first is "free" but each additional part is $4. I found that to be outrageous but on the other hand some parts you can't find anywhere else. I've heard of restocking fees for returns but never anything like this.

I was looking through my October 2003 issue of Sport Compact Car and came across a "Street Sleepers" section, where a 240z with a 383 chevy was wedged under the hood. It says the owner is Rick Johnson, and that the car is a 73'. Does Rick belong to this forum? Or has anyone else seen this issue? It says he's from L.A. so, i dont know if that'll help. Thanks!

Ok, heres my situation, Where I live (ontario) 240Z's are about 15000 but I can get a 280Z for about 5000. Both being in the same condition, heres my question. Is there a big noticable difference in handling between the two cars? can you feel the extra weight and softer suspension? and is the 240 worth the extra 10000? I know the 240Z will handle better but what I dont know is how much better. Where does the extra weight of the 280 come from? Thanks Chris

So I was talking to my father about the possibility of getting a 72' Z and he seemed kinda excited. His only worry was that back in the day, these were the cheap sports cars that teens used to "beat the wizz out of". Does anyone know of any Z's for sale in the New England area???? Car must run and drive... paint, i dont care, body, i dont mind so much.... but anything will be appreciated. Peace.

Hi, I'm new to this forum and I was going to inquire about a few thing about the 1972 260z, standard (I dont know if it's a 5 speed or 4 speed). The one I'm looking at is Blue with a White interior... (kinda messy) but the outside is beautiful. There's no rust, and the paint is perfect. It has 89thousand miles on it. I've yet to test drive it. But i've called the owner and he wants 3500 for it. 1. Is this a reasonable price? 2. How do these cars perform? (speed, handling, overall feel) 3. Is this a good car that I can drive and not worry about... as far as dependability, gas milage, and over-all longevity? I've seen some pretty tricked out, muscelly looking ones... I…

Wow, it feels great to acctually start putting my motor back together. I was getting used to teardown, and cleaning. But now acctually being able to build it back up is a feeling i have never felt before. Judging by how good i feel right now im probbably gonna shat myself when it fires for the first time! I cant wait! The other plus is i just got a job being a mechanic for a cool guy, and his son. They are the people i acctually bought the z from. They own a small shop, and the son is a huge z freak just like me. Its awesome. Not to meantion that i get my parts for cheap as hell. For instance The rings, rod bearings, and main bearings cost me 82 total and were delivered t…
