I have a '73 240Z and I also have the common choke problem with the choke becoming unmounted from the console due to broken mount. I have read about people remounting the choke directly to the tranny tunnel. I was just wondering if anybody could give me any tips on how to do this, or maybe even photos. Thanks a bunch Andy

OK, here is an odd situation that has me puzzled. I have been going through my Windshield Wiper parts and discovered TWO different varieties of Wiper Arms. In my research it seems that ALL North American S30's from 1970 through 1976 used the same (S/S) Wiper arms, and in 1977 Nissan switched to Black finished Wipers/Arms, so this really seems odd to me. All 4 sets of arms have Trico markings on them. Does anyone know (I mean really "know") the story behind the differences? Application data? The first Variety has: Driver Side Wiper arm that is 11 & 3/16" Long, from Tip to center of Rivet. Passenger Side Wiper arm that is 12 & 3/8" Long from Tip to center of R…

I live in metro Tokyo and am assuming it's here. Can anyone give me some leads as to how to get there and whether or not it's open to the public?

Did some more looking around on the "Wurth" website and turned up a couple more items of interest dealing with the "Fuel Injection Connectors" and "Hose Clamps". I see these things (FI Connectors) out on eBay all the time, but you never really know what kind of quality you might be getting. webdawg1

Was tooling around on the internet today and ran up on a possible source for "Braided" fuel & vacuum hose. I thought it might be of some interest to everyone as I've seen quite a few posts talking about "braided hose", how to get the "braided hose look"...etc...etc. I also found some telephone numbers and a url for their website....enjoy!!! I captured (cough cough) a few of the pages to give you an general idea of what all they have. Also saw some "Copper" uninsulated connectors that would work quite well on wiring repairs. webdawg1 Wurth USA 800-526-5228 Wurth California 800-346-4198 Wurth Florida 800-829-8316 Wurth Illinois 800-999-8784 Wurth Texas 800-987-84…

OK, a few in another thread wanted to discuss these options, but no one actually started a new thread. So here goes. Attached is a picture scanned by Alan T (I lightened it a tad) that lists the home-market options for the S30 range from 1970 (correct me if I'm wrong!). Whilst some seem pretty obvious, it is the not-so-obvious which are intriguing. I'm trying to work out how best to discuss... if you look closely next to the pictures, they are numbered. If we can use the numbers given to point to each that's probably the best way. To begin: 2. The home-market S30's had a clock as an option, yes? This may come as a surprise to some - I know it did when I heard it first. …

Its a cool idea. I was thinking since i have the engine out, and im cleaning up the engine bay why not give it a coat of paint? Well, not being able to decide on a color i have come up with a neat little idea that i think would acctually be pretty cool. What do you guys think about me coating the engine bay with Rhino-liner. Or a roll on bedliner? I think it would be pretty cool to have that texture, and look. If somebody has already thought about this im sorry. I was also thinkin of using that as an undercoating..... Thanks for the opinions guys

hey, I was just wondering if someone would please explain to me the differences between the 240Z, 260Z and 280Z. I already know about the different engines each one of them used, but I was wondering if the dimensions, suspension layout and chassis are the same. Thanks, Justin

I'm starting this thread as a companion piece to this thread started by Alfadog: Home-market S30 options In late 1971, the Fairlady 240Z ( HS30-S ) Fairlady 240Z-L ( HS30 ) and Fairlady 240ZG ( HS30-H ) and their related derivatives were released for sale in the Japanese home market, joining the previously released ( from late 1969 ) Fairlady Z, Fairlady Z-L and Fairlady Z432. A new sales brochure was released, and this carried information on the optional equipment that could be chosen for these models. I have scanned the options section of the brochure, and attached photos and the options list below. Red square denotes "Standard Equipment", and Blue Dot denotes "Opt…

Today i was spray painting various little parts on my intake (ill post pics when its all done and pretty) and i was outside, so i figured i really didnt need a mask. After about 2 hours of painting i went inside to wash up, and suddenly sneezed. BLACK SNOT shot out of my nose! Yuck, well, be careful when painting. :bandit:

Well, after unfortunantly taking off to much of the summer from working on my car (travel, work, life) I am finally back to trying to get some parts on and ready to go again. Today I just got at my house a whole bunch of stuff like XR 3000 Electronic Ignition Crane PS-91 Motorsport Header H4 Headlights Headlight Covers Side Stripes "West Coast" Outside Mirrors Speaker Panel Motorsport Performance Springs Tokico Illumina Struts So hopefully since I am finishing up replacing all the solid brake lines now, replacing front brake pads and hardware and some other little odds and ends this will give me the motivation to get out there and get some wrenching done again. Actually I…
