I recently tried to get a rate quote online with both Progressive and Geico insurance companies, but neither would give a quote. Progressive doesn't insure cars made before 1981, and Geico requires a 17-digit VIN (same thing). So I'm staying with my current auto insurance provider.

attached is a picture of something in my engine compartment and I can't find any thing on it in the FSM or haynes or :stupid: All I know is that the one fitting was connected to the stock air cleaner assy but since I went with individual K&N's I don't have a place to connect it to. Does anyone know what it's purpose is?

My mechanic has informed me the Z needs a new gas tank. Anyone recommend the best place to get one and know what it will cost me roughly?

Do you think the crossfire was influenced by the Z? I believe so.

Hello everyone. I am planning to install an rx-7 electric fuel pump on my 1970 240Z. When I wire it to keyed power, that means it will be on when my car is on? Will that be all right? Also, should I mount the fuel pump as close to the tank as possible so it is pushing fuel as opposed to pulling fuel? Hopefully someone will be able to answer my query. Thank you. Rick.

What is the truth about the 260Z? Why does that Z have a bad reputation. This question is not meant to offend any 260Z owners, so please don't take it that way. Just a question that I would truly like to have answered.

I just purchased my own domain which I will use to host my datsun project webpages (my '72 240Z, '79 210 and my paintcode project). I'm also interested in hosting a few other members' projects if anyone is interested. There will be no ads or pop-ups or any of that crap because the site will be hosted by a friend of mine, but if the bandwidth gets too high there will be a monthly fee incurred, probably in the range of 10$ per month or so (not each, but for the entire site). If anyone is interested in setting up a project on this site let me know. I may even cover the monthly charge myself - which may be something on the order of treating my friend to lunch once a month…

Does anyone have advice for having a car hauled? Who do you use? How can it be done most economically? I'm thinking of having a non operating car hauled down the east coast to Florida.

I am an avid Datsun fan, owning 7 of them over the last 15 years. I am currently collecting parts to build my dream Z. I have everything from a custom made Race Prep turbo tec III 400+ HP turbo engine to springs, sway bars, tranny & much more. I grew up as a teen with 240's in our garage. Headers, springs, flares and jetting triple carbs. I was not into 100% original hubcap 240's. I love them & would keep one stock if I had the extra garage space. I, like all true Datsun Z fans, love a stock Z, but I If I can only own one Z car, then I need speed & performance in this modern day & age. However, hear lies the problem. I only have one garage. Which car do I…

Just a follow-up on my previous post. Snap-On has this tool (WMS1) which is a functional eqivalent for special tool (KV40100800) Appears to be special order only if you want to get one from Snap-On. Not a very cheap tool tho...$75.00-$80.00. Well worth it tho, if you don't want to chew up the strut packing nut. Fits 51mm-54mm on one side and 55mm-58mm on the other side. webdawg1
