I've seen pictures of the deck in the 432, which has the spare tire well deleted. Does anyone know if there is a different / larger fuel tank than a typical S30 below this flat deck? The reason I ask is, I want to delete the spare tire well from my Z. This will, of course, leave a gap above the part of the fuel tank that thins out to avoid the spare tire well. I realize that even the 432 tank is different, I'm won't be finding any at my local junk yards but, it would be nice to get some pictures.

Hey all, A Heads up for everyone to look for a June copy of Classic and Sports car magazine. This british mag is top drawer, especially for a unique English view of many cars we know well, like our own 240Z. This months issue features the well worn debate on 350Z vs 240-Z, and even has a sidebar focus on our club member Alan! He gets to revive the debate over the Z's first intended market... Ok Alan, maybe youve mentioned it here before but what is the buzz about you being allowed into Nissans special archive museum?

Looking to order in some replacement heater hoses. The VB catalog is for LHD cars, are the hoses identical for RHD 240's? I'm guessing they are, but just want to be sure before I take the plunge. Thx

Hey guys, I have been lurking around this forum for a couple weeks now just searching, and reading posts, and i think its fanstastic. So, I've decided to sign up. Plus, it looks allot more.... lets say... "grown up" than z car.com. There is a guy that owns a shop, and has several z's. I went hunting and found that he has a 78 280 fuel injected z. Its totally stock, but i noticed that the speedo goes up to 160 freakin mph. Will that car REALLY go that fast? I've seen allot of newer cars that have 200mph speedo's but top out at 140 because they have a regulator of some sort. Also, where is a place online that i could buy a new, or used 5 speed? The car im getting has an…

Didn't know where else to post this. Went to the aforementioned Z show today and had a wonderful time. I have some pics if anyone is interested but not sure where they belong either so here's a quick sample. There was a good mix of cars, around 65-75 I believe. I'm sure some from here will recognize a few of the cars, well I'm not sure actually but still there were alot of nice, and very clean Z's of all ages and eras represented. I am not a member of the club but learned of the show last week, pre-registered and had a nice time. They do a great job behind the scenes production with DJ'd music, announcements, raffles, giveaways, etc. The weather could have been better…

I just found this site for model z cars: http://www.ne.jp/asahi/z32/na/ Use the menu on the left, and the next button to get the next menu of models (there's 3 of them). This is the most complete list of model z cars by manufacturer i've seen, and they are with photos.

in my search for a 240z one of my requirerments is air conditioning.90% of cars with A/C doesn't work.mostly seller says only needs this or that.(usually a charge)making it seem like an easy fix. if it was an easy fix you'd think seller would do the repair before hand. how difficult is it to have operable air and keeping it working cold? is the old technology obsolete or can new technology be adapted?should i dismiss a potential z because it doesn't have air? any opinions?

Hi all I have recently got a 260z 2+2 1974 model which is quite different in the chassis to the later 2+2 cars. I noticed that the chassis rails ar very short and look like the same length as the 240z. does anyone know if datsun used the front and front section of the floors on the 2+2. When I get a chance I will mesure it up and compare just thought it was interesting that the rails were so short? Ash

Hi Everyone, Does anyone know how to find out when my car was made? Is there a way to read the chassis (frame) number to give a build date (i.e. like ford). Luv and kisses, Gail
