Hey guys. I am currently a 350Z owner (don't hold it against me!) ...but I just purchased a 1972 Datsun 240Z in great shape from a private seller. I want to restore it and keep it stock and original, but am not terribly familiar with this car, except to say I love the way it looks. I just wanted to introduce myself and hopefully you guys will have some advice for me down the road. God knows I will need it!:stupid: Thanks.

i was thinkin that it would be cool to have a photochop contest...photochopping is where u use a graphic editing program (adobe photoshop, paintshop, windows paint []) to edit a high quality car pic. this can be wheels, paint, body kit, etc. basiacally anything you can do to a car cosmetically...anyways, i will let people pm me thier email and i will send them the pic...to save on upload time...and bandwidth. but ill set like a one or two week deadline for the the entries to be posted. if this sounds intresting just say so....if at least 5 people are intrested, ill do this... if not than i wont....whatever....so any feedback would be nice. anyways u can check out my o…

Howdy. I'm looking at a '71 240, and have a couple of questions. The body is straight; only perceivable rust is a small amout of bubbling on the bottom of the left door panel, and another small line at the seam on the inner edge of the back hatch; none in engine compartment, wheel wells or trunk (that I could see anyway). Paint is good (although it's a sort of ugly pale yellow). It does have some cheesy wheels on it at the moment, which I'd probably change if it were up to me. The engine has approximately 135K on it, with no mods or major work having been done. Runs strong; no fumes or sludge under the oil filler; no smoke from exhaust. Interior is quite nice, with the…

Greetings, I will need to move my 240 out of the garage for a few months so I need a good cover to keep it safe and clean. Any recommendations? I live in Northern California so I don't need a major weather cover but would like one that provides very good sun protection as well as protection from rain, dust and bird droppings. Thanks for your recs! Mike.

Hi all Can someone please advise me as to what is the correct radio for a 1970 240z. I have seen several radios where there is a small switch above the knob on the right hand side unit but a mate of mine who has a nice original 1970 car has a radio that has a switch on the right hand side of the knob not above it, I assume this is the correct radio spec for a 1970 car but not totally sure, would appreciate some advice. Thanks Lee
