I managed to find a Datsun 128X for sale. Bought it on Friday, was Delivered today. !973 Datsun 128X. No rust, but needs a new paint job, and has a smashed drivers window, but i think it was a good buy. Never seen one before, except in old photos on a Datsun history website.

Hi all I will be going to Japan and staying in Shinjuku for work. I am there from the 29th feb to 9th of Mar. Could anyone suggest some places to go around there to check out any zed related stuff. I would also like to pick up some fibreglass flairs if possible as well as anything else I can fit in my suitcase!!! Thanks Ashley

Thought this might be of interest . Its a comparison of my RB30DE 240's 1/4 mile run with a Lexus SC400 V8 and a Skyline GTS-T(RB25DET). Both the Zed and the skyline lifted off the throttle just before the end of the 1/4, but its still a good comparison. Steven1/4 mile jpg

Finding a Z

After a 12 year absence I'm back in a Z. First one I called on was in WA. for a 1977 no rust, but needed work. I offered to buy the car but he wouldn't sell because I live in Ct. and he will not get any repair business from me. He ownes a parts/repair business which he said has been declining along with the number of Z cars. I could not belive this ,tried to reason again but same answer. So I bought a San Diego 1977 Z with a nissan crate motor, front ed struts/bushings, rebuilt tranny, refurbished interior , and some rocker panel rust (sweating that one out) for 2,600. And yes I missed the LAS VEGAS Z convention by 2 days because of the wife's schedule. I went to look for…

Hi guys, i'm new to these forums and in the Z's in general. I'm 21 years old from Canada,Quebec. I've been reading a lot this week on 240z/280z. Realy nice cars. I've been browsing the net and I found a few Z for sale in my region. One guy is selling a blue 1977 280z. He said it was imported from california 5 years ago. VIN# is HLS30370382 5 gear , but the 5th gear has a problem. On reverse you need to "hold the shifter because it to go out" Is it a "relatively" good daily driver? I realy don't know what car to buy. I have about 7000$cdn and I want something "classic" like the old Z maybe you guys could give me a few suggestions PS: english isn't my main language

I've been finishing off my last project car and I'm going to follow it up with a tuned 240Z of some sort. The thing is, I'm buying in from the U.K. (Ireland resident here) and I've yet to find a compromise of work vs. purchase price. I can buy a Zed for as low as €600 (~$800) or I can go as high as €15,000. Obviously the €15,000 examples are for pristine original cars with a perfect history, useless to me because I'll modify it, but for example the cars that are worth about €600.. the amount I'm going to have to spend on such a car to bring it up to standard would probably put it in the region of a reasonably restored and running Z. So, where's the middle ground? …

If anyone out there has an owners manual for a 1977 280Z, can you look up what the gas milage should be. I'm getting a little less than 10 mpg, but my car is not stock. Thanks:classic:
