Hi guys just a question i have heard that a 69 240Z is the best one to own and a 73 model the worst. Can someone please tell me why the 73 is bad??? and what makes the 69 the best? Thankyou.....

I own a '73 240 that is in real good shape. No rust... just a little bit on the rocker panel. I put a 5 speed transmission in it and the engine is stock. Runs real well. The car has been painted once... looks good. The dash has one crack in it. I bought the car in 1990 for $2,900.00. All in all the car is real clean, interior pretty good shape. Not sure of the miles, odometer says 80,000 but could be 180,000. I have always wondered what the darn thing is worth. I have no plans on selling it but just wondered... I see cars any where from $3,500 to $15,000!

Any idea how I can find out the exact specification of my 260Z when it was new, stuff like extras, colors, trim details, where it was supplied. Other manufacturers have a "heritage" department that can help out. Does Nissan have such a thing ?

Has anyone seen the DVD titled "The Run". It shows a 350Z running flat out through the streets of Prauge (I think that's how you spell it). I don't like the 350Z at all, but the DVD is awesome. I'd love to do that through the streets of my town in my '77 280Z. We called it rat-racing. :devious:

I first didnt understand how to install my new exhaust. It didnt come with instructions or anything with it. So I call motorsport and they tell me that I need to remove the catalytic convertor to install it. I try to get the catalytic convertor off and the bolts ar to rusted. so I take off the down pipe and use a hex saw to cut the bolt, I reattach the down pipe and go to install the straight pipe and everything. and its about 4 inches short. so I call motorsport again and complain and the guys says i wasnt suspose to remove the catalytic convertor. So now I have to drll out the old bolts that are rust and screw to the catalytic convertor, go get new bolts, reinstall my c…

hey, The guy I bought my Z off only drove the car a couple thousand miles over the last 12 years(after retiring). Right after I got it from him and was heading home, the water pump blew out, luckily before I even reached the interstate. Ordered the part that day from NAPA, and fixed it the next day! So then I started going through things, and replacing fuel lines here, air hoses there, the charred over air filter... The car didn't seem very responsive, and needed heavy choking(in august) he had mentioned I may want to get a carb kit for the car, he never wanted to spend the money on it. He also said don't touch the electrical system. I found there to be no fuse box…
