Ok, this is being carried over from another thread for those that might be interested. Some of us have been using it to make new avatars. The link is to a license plate maker program. It's pretty cool, check it out. License plate maker

I have a dilemma. Nice fresh 110 red paint, car reassembly underway, pioneer cd player(model DEH1350) ready to instal but no suitable power antenna for a hole in the rear quarter panel. I request your advise as to a suitable model and brand of power antenna that is both functional and suitable for a 6/73 HS30 . Steve:classic:

Hello All, FIRST let me say this is a temporary fix until I can hibernate the Z in the garage to pull the tank and fix it right and do the return hoses as well, presently they are not leaking, but we all know it's a matter o' time. That being said, who has had luck with patching a tank with something like JB Weld? It appears that a small pebble has gotten between the strap and tank (I can't figure out how either) and yesterday when I filled it, I think the extra weight worked a small hole into the tank. I plan on removing the strap, and yes, with the tank supported as Kmack and EScanlon already know about... (Sorry guys...) Once while out on a hill climb in a '72 4…

When I was looking for my one and only back in 1991, I came across a '72 with 4,500 miles on it that the owner wanted $14.000 for. It was a beautiful orange car with white interior, original tires, etc. I could not afford it but looked at it closely, keeping my drool under control of course, just to see what an original looked like. I continued my search and came up with a nice yellow car with 86,000 miles on with very lttle rust. Cost me $3,000. I can't say that I have put in $11,000 into my car but several thousand at least. And I still have a mediocre car that is still a project. What do they say about hindsight-- it is 20/20. I should have jumped on that $14,0…

OK.. here's a dumb question from a non-American: what do you mean by 'Bay Area'? This world of our has a lot of coastline with a lot of concave portions (bays) and lots of those have cities on them. Do you mean San Francisco Bay? (I'm guessing but there seem to be lot of Californian members). Enlighten us...

Well, I have droped off the site for A few months now but for good reason. I had A choice in front of me 2 months ago. Take the money in the bank and do the Z. or open my own shop & ditch the timecard. I now have my shop open. 4-EVER NEW AUTOMOTIVE DETAILING. Is open and booked for details into JAN 03 . I also am going into custom automotive neon. & will soon be on the holly website as A N.O.S. bottle refill shop.( NOS about 2 months off this point) So the Z had ta get set aside for a few. But now it has made it back into light. With the shop in order to do it. :classic: The neon end is going to be so cool. I have found A guy here that has a neon …

Does anyone have any experience with wind causing their custom fit car cover to flap against the car and damage the finish? if so, are there any tricks to prevent this flapping? thanks!

I just got a 71 240 that has a nice paint job and i'm looking for a car cover. i don't have a garage yet, so i need an all weather one. i live near Sacramento, CA. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, i could use some info on the bulky-ness of the covers on the market. Most websites just measure bulk in relative terms, and i'd like to know if i can pack an overnight bag and the car cover in the back of the z. thanks.

OK, I know it's early for most of you, but I would like to know what I need to do for the hibernaTIon of my ZED... The car will be kept in a big heat wharehouse. 1. I know I have to removed the battery 2. I was told to put a gas treatment in the gas tank NOW MY QUESTIONS??? A) Some people told me it's good to put the car on some blocks, so the suspension and tires won't be damaged?? Is that right?? c) Do I need to have the gas tank almost empty or full before storage??? What else?? Thanks!@
