   Fellow Zers Gotta check out this ride on e-bay! I've been building engines for awile, ok, mostly VW's. So now that I've got a Z thing go'in on I enjoy see'in how others have built their rides.    Dealing with A/C system

   Hey guys, Now that I've got my engine out of the car, I wonder how I can deal with the A/C system. I'd like to continue using it and the compressor appears to be working fine. It spins easily and the whole system felt somewhat cold when I turned it on last time. But, I'm sure it needs to be re-charged. Since this system is so old, is it even possible to have it serviced? I seem to remember a time when you could service your own A/C. Is that still possible with an old system like this. I also remember that the government (here in the US) forced a change to a new type of A/C that was ozone friendly. I guess my main question is, can I do any of this work myself and whe…

   I've heard that the 70-71 240z's are around 2200lbs and that the 72-73's are around 2400lbs. if this is correct, then what exactly made up the extra 200lbs in the newer 240z's?

   Am I the only one to have this? the belt is new - it's properly tightened - the smog pump and its belt has been removed and yet whenever the weather gets hot and I step on it the think gets loud as heck. Make it extra tight because the smog pump isn't pulling on it the other way??? other tricks/solutions? -e

    Hey, sorry if this isn't the right topic for this post, I am new here. My name is Andre, I live in Buffalo, NY. I have owned my '70 240z for 2 years, it has been in heated storage for 11 years (my dad was the previous owner, he has 3 other 240's). I am selling my current car (94 honda accord) and wanted to get a 300zx z32, but im thinking about taking the money to work on my datsun. I am contemplating a 280zxt motor and building the turbo, an sr20det, or an rb26dett. I'm not sure if the sr20 and rb26 would fit.     "Stone Wheels"?

    I went next door to my house and found a 72 240z sitting there in the yard. Well i took a drive over and asked the women about the car, and she say's yeh i'll sell it for $1000 because of the "stone" wheels on it because you can't find them anymore. Is this a name brand or what? I've never heard of them. Then as she headed inside she dropped the price by $500. The car has cancer in the best places, and bodo in others. The engine looked about the best part on it. You guy's ever heard of these wheels. They look similar to the ones I posted a picture of before on that orange z.

    I FINALLY GOR MY z AND HAD MY FIRST RIDES!!! CAR IS FLAWLESS, i LOVE IT!!! MECHANIC WHO MADE THE INSPECTION WAS AMAZED AT THE CAR CONDITION!!! jUST A MINOR BUG, ON MY WAY TO PUT SOME GAS AT THE STATION, the car refused to start, dead battery, niet, finish kaput.. It was checked 30 minutes before.... But I hope the car will be ok, the weather looks beautiful for the week-end here in Montreal!!! :D
