I’m looking to get a Z in the South Florida area! I’m in love with the original S30 and I have 3 parts cars in my home town 800mi away, but I am really wanting to get something going. I have found some local cars for sale that are various models and conditions. Is there anyway I could ask some advice on which one and on prices? I’m young and completely new to this. I am not in the financial position to get anything outstanding but I am dying to finally have one that I can drive. Please let me know if anyone can help me out? I have under 10k to work with. So any advice or even what you guys would consider reasonable offers on any of these would be appreciated. 1st is a…

I know a lot has been discussed about tires. I can't find any current discussions (since 14" started to disappear). I am getting my car running after 25 years (see: "1973 240z Awakening"). I don't want to upgrade wheels and tires now with all the future expenses coming. So from what I can find on this site my Choices are 195/70R14 (Stock), 205/60R14, 215/60R14, and 225/60R14. Can you go with 15" on this rim, if so what? -Thanks -

I talked with Jai (redwing) last night and she brought up an odd thing that happened in her 76 280. When she was going around a left hand sweeper turn at a bit more than cruising speed about a half cup of noticeably cold? (not tepid) water landed on top of her right foot. The odd thing is she thinks the water came from the right side, as in from behind the radio. She says the heater core has been removed to make room for the AC. She also says that she has a shut off valve plumbed into the heater hoses under the hood. She states @siteunseen has a picture of her set up. The question is in two parts. First question is where is the source of the water. Second question is how…

My kid lost the gas cap from our '72 240Z and I need to buy a replacement. I want an OEM or OEM-like solution and should probably choose one with a chain (the old one didn't have one). I see the $97 option (needs a chain that costs $25) on Motorsport Auto and if I have to, I'll go that route. But does anybody know a better option? Thanks!

The cam oiler on my 240 is showing signs of failure with the rear most section tilting in towards the cam and I'm trying to decide whether to repair it, replace it with another stock oiler or buying the Yoes cam oiler. I've read that some of the billet stye oilers made by other suppliers interfered with the cam cover internal baffles and was wondering if the Yoes oiler fits without any modification required. Also, your experience positive or negative would be appreciated. thanks, John

My 240 was originally 918 orange but was resprayed Ferrari red before I bought it. I want to change it back to the original orange but the paint in the engine compartment and interior don't look so exciting. It could be the fact that the car is soooooo red that the original orange looks boring against the red. I'm wondering if anyone in NH or Mass has a 918 orange Z I can look at in person. Any leads would be greatly appreciated!

New to the forum so please go easy on me! LOL! I have a 1977 280z. It was running fine and then died while idling in the driveway. I restarted and it is idling a bit rough.... when you give it gas it breaks up at certain RPMs. Really rough run up and not drivable but will maintain a rough idle.... At the same time this happened the tach stopped working. I have to assume the rough running and tach are related? I changed the ignition coil and cleaned up the terminal block connections that connect to the coil. Would appreciate any feedback and or suggestions.

Not too many Datsun people out here in northern Utah, I think the winter salt has killed most of the old Datsuns like it did to my 73. So I just go with the regular local hot rodders. But note how much room they give me when we parked in this cemetery! And I took low hand for $80 in the poker draw!
