Hey guys, I'm looking into parts that would be suitable for reproduction via 3D modeling/Printing. Things I'm looking into are things like rare emblems, mirrors, shift knobs, and accessories. My current project is reproducing a set of Suichuuka "Flower" Mirrors as seen here: You can see progress on those here https://www.instagram.com/rl_design_fab I've also had success 3D printing Stainless steel Pillar emblems and would like to make a set of these rare versions which I think were on the 432 Z: If anyone has reference images for any rare parts that might be good candidates for bringing back to life I'd…

With all the talk of the Z Store "Vintage" Z cars there seems to be a unicorn that is loose in the wild somewhere. It's the 38th car of 37 built but not officially on the list. Would be great to get more details on it and see some pictures. Anyone know where it is? Peter Evanow who ran the Z Store for Nissan had this to say about it: "I certainly remember when Nissan bought up a bunch of old 240Zs because I was the guy doing it, as I ran The Z Store from 1996-1998, when we ended up building 38 cars (there’s a 240ZR that was the last one built for a private buyer that was never officially recorded)." "No matter what list – and Carl Beck’s is good – of restored Z…

I purchased this 1973 240z CA/AZ (one owner car) that's been hibernating for 25 years in a AZ. garage. I am working on waking it up. (See NEW MEMBER - NEW CAR Topic). Work started - Pulled the head, there was a bent push rod and a bad lifter. Sent head off for a rebuild (forgot to take a picture before installing). The timing chain was installed incorrectly in the past (180 degrees off) this would make the car run poorly (as you can imagine). Maybe that's why the PO parked the car in a garage for the last 25 years. The exhaust manifold was cracked all the way through, it couldn't be repaired so I ordered a coated header. Exhaust system from MSA TBC Coated 6-1 Hea…

Can anyone tell me what a fuel sending unit and a tank out of a 78 280z would be worth? I know at the end of the day it’s worth what’s someone is willing to pay but and I put is appreciated.

I bought this 1972 240z two weeks ago at the Houston Mecum auction. I’m new to Zs and have owned mostly older Miatas as my weekend car. Here is the Mecum listing: https://www.mecum.com/lots/HA0419-372171/1972-datsun-240z/ The car has the build book with $26,000 in receipts. The prior owner had it for 17 years and did most of the work himself. I paid $13,750 for the car, including commission. There were three owners before me and the car has 107k miles. Any idea what the car is actually worth?

Found a leak in the outlet tube where it meets the gas tanks so I pulled the tank out. Only 1 EVAP line had to die to get it out. It'll be off to a radiator shop shortly for a fix and maybe a blast or a coat. Is there anything else you'd tackle while the tank is out? I'm eventually going to drop the entire rear suspension but the gas tank doesnt really seem to be too much in the way of that. Most likely going to replace most of the evap lines using 240260280z's and ConchZ's description and pictures:

Hey guys. I was wondering if people who have rear louvers can post some info about them, I know there are many different types and I'm interested in getting a set. I just don't know what to look for. Are there kinds that don't need to be bolted on or is that pretty much the only way to do it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I can get the BRE for $189 https://www.bre2.net/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=B&Product_Code=080A02&Category_Code=car_covers Or this tight fitting indoor black one that has some good reviews for $160 with a coupon code. It'd be a little harder to take off and on I think but I do like a tight fit. Giggity... https://www.carcovers.com/covers/cars/datsun/240z/1972/black-satin-shield.html#customer-reviews Opinions please.
