Does anyone have a good supplier for 280z door seals. The one I need is the one that crimps on body around the door opening. I've heard Kia Sportage is very close to the OEM Datsun seal, but don't know the year of sportage. Thanks...Ron

Anyone try or have these? Maybe discussed before, but a quick search didn't yield anything. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2X-Black-Car-Jack-Pad-Adapter-Durable-Rubber-Support-Repair-Pad-Tool-USA-Stock/264254036568?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

These wheels were on my 72 when I bought it. I figured they were just cheap knockoffs and I didn’t pay any attention at all until this morning when I moved them. They are very light and are some kind of alloy (non-magnetic), which seemed odd given their (apparent) age. These are the only markings: it looks like “14x65 MAX WHEEL LOAD 1580 CSI “ and a serial number or date maybe “ 6 23 80 1” They weigh in at 30.8 lbs with the rotted old 165/65r14 eagle tire still on, so I figure the wheel must be in the 13 to 15 lb range? The Can anyone fill in the details for me? Are these anything unusual? Or nothing special? …

Hey guys, I tried three times to lock the side shaft bolts (wheel side) in place, using loctite and new spring washers. After a couple of hundred miles, they loosen up again. Did someone have the same issue in the past and how did you fix this? Is there a certain orientation of the side shaft flange neccessary? Space is tight, but I managed to fasten the nuts with a long extension ultimately. Maybe they hold better now. BR

Hello everyone, My name is Clay and I bought a 1970 Datsun 240Z (HLS30-01121) about three years ago. My intention was to drive it on the weekends and save up some money for a full restoration. I am stationed in San Diego, California and found the car on Craigslist. After talking to the owner and inspecting the car on FaceTime, I bought a plane ticket for the next day. I took the car for a test drive and it performed well. I handed over the cash and started the 650 mile drive from Redding, California. Before I left town I stopped at a place to get the oil changed for the drive. I went down below the car and noticed that the passenger side frame rail was i…

Working on fixing glass fiber bumper bracket. I purchased body mount from EuroDat a bit long ago, and finally, start working on the bumper. The bracket is really stable and fit very well. Thanks Chas! I purchased fiber bumper from local craigslist long time ago... The bracket on the bumper side does not fit to the mount at all. Thus, I removed the bracket and left them for awhile... I weld bolts on the bracket and painted. Put a few glass fiber sheet and fix it. Add more sheets to make it durable. Test fitting looks good ? I have to think about what I should do on the side blots. I don't have a hol…

I figure there must already be a thread like this somewhere. But if not, let’s bring it back ...you know the rules so let’s get to it ... So I picked up these beauties today ...(actually Matt from Edmonton drove three hours and dropped them off for me. Thanks again Matt if you are on here ....) Solid rear quarters cut from a 72 240z, 90550 (RIP) Right side .... Left side .... (bonus: window, door latch, side marker, hatch strut, antenna and speaker ?)... Some small rust rust in the lower dogleg and around the gas cap but basically pretty solid .... …

Gents, bought a used replacement antenna for my car while on a layover in Billings Montana. Got it for $20 but not sure it works or how to test it. See below pics of the antenna and the connector. I did a little research before posting and this is what I learned. The connector has three wires. Black, Blue w/ red stripe and Blue w/white stripe. The threads I read said both Blue wires are positive and one sends it up and one send it down. The black is obviusly the ground. So my understanding is just connecting a 12v battery to the positive on either blue and the ground on black should activate the antenna up or down. Does anyone know for sure before I end up …
