Hello, My name is Bart, and I've been on this forum before in the past, when I had a 73 240Z. That project never made it to much rust, and I sold it for parts. It's been quiet for a while, and personally I kept thinking of owning another 240Z in the future, but good ones are expensive here in The Netherlands, compared to the US. But since I started my own company, things got better financially, and last year I was able to afford myself another 240Z. This time a 71. -> HLS30 32581 Well I had to share it with you guys offcourse, here are the Z enthousiasts ! :classic: Learned from the past on the rust problems, I decided that I didn't want a " that kind of a project " …

Hi all, I flirted with it for a long time... and finally pulled the trigger from a recent BaT auction: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-datsun-240z-274/ I'm still a newbie, but excited to dive in and meet some of you in the future. And more than happy to be more than a lurker! It'll be taken on limited drives, but do want to get it out and enjoy it in Southern California. That being said, I am excited to work on restoring and updating as much as possible and keep it stock. Some information pasted from the listing: Early series 1 car in Safari Gold. California blue license plates. Matching engine numbers. Matching numbers on shock tower plate…

Greetings from Baltimore County, Maryland! I have been a long-time lurker and reader on this site, and I think I may have talked to a few members in person at car shows or chatted online. After searching for years, a few missed opportunities, lost bids on BAT, passing on a few project cars beyond my comfort zone, I finally found my Z in April 2023. As all cars that are 47 years old, she's far from perfect and will need some TLC that my son and I will eagerly perform and enjoy. I will start a project thread to document the work as it progresses. Looking forward to being an active member of this community! Paul

Hi, I’m Matt. I’ve been a member of Z.Car for a little and figured I’d jump in here too because I’m always lurking. I have a pretty rough 79 280ZX that I’ve had for maybe 15 years. It’s has sat for about the last 10 or so. I daily drove it for a few years, then let it set after some slight running issues and started a family so some of my side projects got put on hold. I had to move the car from where it was being stored(barn) so I got it fired up and running and all my old dreams of doing something to this car came back. Of course my wife’s response when I brought it back to the house was “you’re going to sell it, right?...Crushed!!! Well I absolutely love having s…

So now that our Z is almost finished, I thought I would finally join! My 19 year old son bought the car as a learning project that we could work on together with his 17 year old brother and their friends. The project has taken almost 3 years now and we are always just one repair away from having it completed. We bought the '75 280Z in Charlotte NC and it came with the original engine and a 5 speed. We imported it to the Netherlands where we live and started the restoration project. Now we almost have it on the road and are just working the kinks out of it. Latest problem has been a stumbling and missing when it starts warming up which has almost left me stranded. Still …
