I have been around for a while mainly trying to drum up classic Z's for my Z club meets, man you guys are tough to get out so I figured I had to get one in order to have one at the meets. I have been an S30 lover for decades and always wanted one, I had satisfied my thirst for Z's with a heavily modified 350Z and a slighlty modified 300Zx (Z32) and but was finally able to get my hands on a 1971 240Z. Many thanks to Carl Beck for putting up with me constant noob questions, I am sure this will not stop as I go about restoring her and will be on this board asking away. Here are some pics picking her up Here are some pics of my other babies

well after months of searching i finally for myself a 240z and not just a regular 240z a 1970 model made in March with Vin# 02062. Best of all it was practically in my back yard only 40 mins drive. I love the condition although it sat outside with the window half open for the last 2 years the only things i need to replace are the floor pans..... the body is extremely straight the doors close and latch completely, hood lines up perfectly. I dont really wanna post up a big novel so here's the pics..... more pics @ http://s183.photobucket.com/albums/x293/khosein/240z/1st%20day/

I've actually used this site's forums for a while for information, and recently I purchased a 73' 240z. So I finally made the decision to join because of the vast wealth on knowledge, and with an account I can actually tap into it. My Z is currently suspended on a lift, and unfortunately I believe that she may be there for quite a bit longer while I finish all of the restoration work and engine rebuild. This is actually my second 240z, and there's a long story behind the first, that I may get to sharing but its to long a story for now. I'm excited to be here and continue on my s30 project, and hopefully it will be completed by the end of summer or beginning of fall.…

I was at a friend's house in Chardon, Ohio around 1973. An acquitance of his pulled up in a Orange 71 240Z. I had been ogling them for awhile and he asked me if I wanted to drive it. I said sure. He wanted to show me the ropes, so to speak, and we left for a short ride. It had been raining earlier and the roads were damp. Two lane blacktop. We were tooling down the road and came upon a young kid riding a motorized scooter. The kid was in the left lane going in the same direction we were. The driver was coming up to pass and tooted the horn to warn the kid. Just as we were about to pass the kid swerved in front of us and the driver cut hard to the right to avoid hitting hi…

Hi everyone, I just picked up my first Z, a 1973 project car that's totally disassembled but seems to be complete, and was originally Orange. I'll be bringinging the car back to original condition, with perhaps a performance modification or two. This is my second restoration, but my first import and my first Datsun, so any tips for noobs is much appreciated!

Wanted to say hi. I've been watching some threads for a while and have done a lot of research here, but thought I would finally introduce myself. I probably won't post much, but I'll try to stay a little active. I've been a Z fan for over 20 years and previously owned an S130. Now 2nd owner of a series I 240Z bought about 10 years ago. It ran the first couple years, then stopped running after sitting one winter and has sat since. I've started working on it recently... full restoration. Will try to post some pictures soon.

Hello, I've always loved the look of the mid 70's 280Z and i'm finally serious about buying one. I'm looking for a 76-78 280Z and I came across this one on Craigslist, http://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/cto/4957076950.html The owner is asking $11,000. I'd appreciate any thoughts or concerns or general input. I will be in Vegas in about a month and may be able to look at this car in person if it is still available. Thanks for any and all input. Mike

Going to use this as my build/resto thread. I just picked the car up last Thursday and am looking forward to working on it. It's a '73 Blue 240Z that is all original as far as I can tell so far. It isn't running yet, though I hope to be able to turn it over by the end of the week. I doubt I'll have it ready to run for another few weeks but I'm working on it. Right now, I'm following the steps in the "Waking the sleeping beast?" thread to hopefully get it to turn over with no further damage (if there is any). I pulled the plugs tonight and put some ATF in the cylinders. I did notice that the spark plugs are extremely fouled and are a very dark slightly shiny black. I'm thi…

Hey folks ! Wanted to say hello to all members. I think my new to me car qualifies for the forum. I just purchased a 1985 300zx from the original owner with 42,800 original miles on her. Been in a garage other than around the block drives since 1997. Put new tires on her and drove her home. It was like driving a time capsule! Need a new headliner & stereo system then it will be time to roll with the TTops off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
