Hello Everyone, My name is James. My Z history started when I turned 15. My father bought me a 280 that we were going to fix up for my birthday. Whelp, we found out it was stolen, and it went away. A few months later we purchased a 1976 280Z and I have had it ever since. She has had many problems over the last decade, but always comes back for more. I left her at my fathers while I went to Alaska for several years. I've returned now, and found he simply left her in the street for five years, and now most body panels have severe rust! (yikes!) I purchased another '76, and have started swapping panels off. Sadly, I don't have a garage so working in the street has been less …

Hubby found me a nice 78Z in Chicago back in October. I got to drive her a few times before he started working. She drives sooo nice...transmission like butter! So far he's doing big brakes and coil overs. Sanded down a bunch of rust, welded new floors. New tires and wheels. He's rebuilding all the suspension. He keeps trying to talk me into lowering it and taking off the original bumpers and I say no way !

Hello fellow Z owners! My name is Noah and I am a first (Sort of second.) time Z car owner. I recently, after swooning for years, purchased my first Z from a Gentleman in Erie, PA. I payed the measly price of 500 dollars for a running 1978 280z. Yes, it has cancer. Yes, it has an automatic transmission. Yes, it is old and tired. But, it is a Z car, and it was within my price range. I live 30 miles from where I purchased the car and I really needed to get it home to my garage so I could begin attempting to restore it, or at least bring it to working order. The journey home took its toll on my car, and on me. I was worried about the trip because the car hadn't rea…

Hello guys! Names Richie, I'm from the sf Bay Area. I've always found good info on the site and finally decided to dive in and contribute when I can. Anyways, I currently own a 1970, and a 1972 S30 vin #hls30-06302 and s30-08925. I've always found the original z car to be a beautiful machine, I've always been a Nissan guy so it was gonna happen eventually. Hopefully I'll add another to the family soon. Thanks for the great community on the forum and support for the cars, glad to be a member.

I'll spare you all the boring details. My names Joel. I am New to the Z car community. I'm on a few other Z forums, same SN. For now I'll just be absorbing as much as I can. Reading a lot. Trying to establish some good fundamentals in understanding the Z car so I can finish my own late 260z. Hope I get to share it all with you one day soon. It's nothing grand, but it's mine. Basically, it's a shell that needs a motor. The L28 that came with the car is temporarily seized. I Haven't progressed much as to try an un-seize it, but I wont be needing it until later anyway. For the meantime I bought a L26 I'm currently refreshing it.

Hi Guys, I bought this car off the first owner back in 2007 and let it sit under the house until last month. I went to start it and found a healthy rats nest sitting on the manifold. He had also decided to snack on my leads and hoses. I cleaned it out and decided that it would be good to take it to the Motorfest 2012 which was just over three weeks away. Since the car was stuck in the garage (it wan't running) I decided to try and become a newbie mechanic and do as much as I could myself. I want the car to be as orginal as possible. I borrowed the tools from a mate because an adjustable wrench only does so much and used the manuals to help explain everything to me. I use…

Hi everyone, I recently purchased my first Z which also happens to be my first car. I had been looking for one for a couple months now and I finally found her. The color isn't my favorite and neither is the body kit but the body is straight and has very minimal rust I have plans to do the interior and paint myself. All she needs to get running is a new fuel pump and air flow meter. I look forward to posting up pictures following her progress!

Hello, New to the forum and looking for a solid car! I bought my first car when I was 15. It was an 83 280zx turbo. I got it all fixed up... Paint, interior, etc. A week before my 16th birthday my mom drove the car and said it was too fast! It sold almost immediately. I'm now 27 and have worked at Titan Motorsports and a few other hot rod shops. With my experience and connections, I'm ready to get back in the z game. I'm hoping I can find a solid 240/260. Preferably a driver so I can start having some fun right away! I'm in Melbourne, FL (close to Orlando). Hope I can learn a few things and share my experiences! Looks like a great forum. Ryan

I just discovered this site and feel inspired to bring my 1978 Z back to its former beauty. I bought it Dec 1977 and have put 309k miles on it. It mostly resides in my garage now but everything works better than you would expect for a car this well used. I even have every receipt for any work or oil change. I told myself in the early '90's that I would restore it once the kids stopped putting dents in the doors. That was 20 years ago but it still looks good. I bought the car in Tenn and many years ago the California Nazis (CARB) forced me to add a cat converter. The poor thing was designed for leaded fuel, not corn squeezings. I hope to get lots of help from this forum.…

Parked next to a 240Z the other day, and got me to thinking that I ought to stop by the old place. Still no Z in the garage, and none in the foreseeable future either. Having fun with the Porsche.
