Hey guys whats goin on? Im just an 18yr old looking for a Z near me. Id prefer a 240Z or 260Z are they are a little more rare then the 280z's and 280zx's, but they are all good. Ive been reading about S30's for a few weeks and they are my second favorite nissan, gotta love the long styling and I-6 engine. My absolute favorite nissan was the Skyline 2000. But back to Z's. Im selling my 90 maxima daily driver so I can grab a decent priced Z. Any way its a great site, hopefully I can get a Z soon! ~Alex

As an Industrial Designer by profession my love affair goes all the way back to 1971 when the ubiquitous Z Car appeared on the market for the second year with very nice improvements. Zowie! I raced to the show room to make my purchase only to learn that there was an 80 person waiting list and they were only getting in 4 to 6 cars a month. Do the math! Right! 2 ½ Years, June 1972. Being the eternal optimist, I said, "Hey man, I really, really want a Z, so put me on the list." Hard to believe, but absolutely true. I got a call the very next day from the sales guy. He said, "Do you want to buy a Z and do you have the cash? All $2,495.00. And do you care what color it is? …

Hello, all. I have a 1970 240Z (sn 1**8) which has been in the family since new. I plan to slowly restore it, not necessarily as original, while still driving it. A recent excursion in the hands of thieves has left the poor old Z without some frills and extras (heater core and control head, and many other "trinkets" were stolen). It has a 280 block, no fancy parts, original 240 head and carbs. It has a small amount of rust, and some glass is cloudy but it is still a dignified old warrier. I am located in Milton-Freewater, OR which is in the far northeastern part of the state, at the foot of the Blue Mountains.

Hey all, I'm Mark Belrose, and have been lurking these forums for some time but decided to finally get off my butt and register. I've got two 1970 240Zs. The first is a nicely done VIN 72XX car with an L28 block, flat head pistons, .480 lift cam, and E88 head with big valves feed by stock SUs. The suspension consist of Ground Control coil-overs, bigger sway bars, etc... I've got vented rotors on the front and a disc brake conversion on the rear, and an R200 LSD. Its also got a fairly fresh bright red paint job done by a guy who has painted various award winning cars displayed in hot rod magazines. I used to autocross and open track it, and the nice paint quickly got …

Hi everyone I am Lawrence and I just aquired a 1975 280Z with an Alpa GTO body kit mounted on it. I bought the Car in Pennsylvania and shipped her home to Grenada ...so I am as serious as a heart attack about this project. I suspect I will be posting periodically for some help . This is not my first "project car ". I recently completed a four year resto on a 1973 Jensen Healey. I had lots of great help from the Jensen Healey Forum. I am hoping same from Classic Z car Forum members. Please:smoke: I chose this guy 'cause he looks exactly like me!

Hello from Phoenix - I'm seriously considering a 240Z for my next car and know very little about them except that they're beautiful. I'll be reading as much as can on these forums to try and learn as much as possible while I wait for my current car to sell. If any of you with more experience care to send me some advice on things to look for or avoid, I'd appreciate it all. Thanks. -Flamenco

Hi; I’m BJ and I live in Lakeland, FL. I had an ‘82z many years ago, and having been bitten, I’d like another one now. I’m seeing things in ads that I don’t understand and hope someone here can fill me in. For one, the term GL. Some of the cars are listed with this, such as: 1983 Nissan 280ZX GL. What’s the GL mean? And then there is the 2+2. Is that the 2 seats they cram in the back, or something else? If the car has the 2 rear seats, can they be folded completely out of the way? Thanks for any help you can provide, and thanks for keeping the car I love alive and well. BJ Nielsen

My name is Robert, i live in Killeen tex, own a 78 280z with a perfect body and running engine, AC, 5 speed. I am currently removing everything from the car and about to have it blasted and checked for rust. I did find a dime size rust spot on the passenger side floorboard, and the passenger firewall is rusted from battery acid. The car still looks good with the interior completely removed, all paint is good inside. I need to find a floorpan and firewall replacement. The engine and suspension will be removed for blasting then cleaned and replaced with new bushings and hoses. If u have any advice please feel free to share. I will post some pics when I get used to th…

Hello, my name is Luke and I need some advice before I go getting a 240z. A Z car has been my dream car ever since I got into cars, and I am now excited that I now have the oppurtunity to get one!!! Basically, I have the oppurtunity to purchase a Datsun 1971 240z 4-Speed. The car is over in California where my brother lives. I live over in Tennessee and would have to figure out how to get it over this a way. The guy is asking $700 for it. It has a little over 90k miles on it, engine and transmission have recently been rebuilt. It looked to be in very good shape for what it is. It is all stock. Parts of the car do need to be put back on. It comes with a few spare…
