Hello. I'm new to the forum. I have a Fairlady Z manufactured in 08/1976 that I brought back from Okinawa, Japan. I'm interested in beginning a restoration project and would like some information on where I can purchase parts. Items, such as a dashboard for a right-hand drive, seem difficult to find. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, I'm Andrew....in case you couldnt tell from the username. Anyways, my brother and I picked up last august or so a ITS prepped 77 280z. Full cage, with bump out for door and all. Killer price. To and from Texas in under 2 days from illinois to pick up the car and countless extra parts (some of which might be for sale in the future ) Anyways, we got the car to race in ITS up here, and long story short. My brother got married a month or so after we got the car and had just started a new job. Yadda yadda yadda, Fast forward to now......We are back to putting in the finishing touches of the car to make it exactly how we want it. We needed to replace the fuel t…

Just found this site while I was searching for parts for my Z. Hope you will have some advise to help with my search. Right now I'm looking for a gas cap . Car Vin # HLS30-08404 8/70. While the car registration says 1971 the car was actually made in 1970. From the information I have gathered there was a change made with the gas cap that year and I am apparently looking for a needle in a haystack. It is no longer made so I am looking for a used one. Any suggestions?

Hi Folks, I've always liked Z's , but have never owned one. I have a son who is 14 1/2 and wants to tinker on cars. I have found a 240Z locally, 1972 w/ automatic. Asking price is $1,200.00. The car is said to run well, has had electronic ignition installed. It has what appears to be minor rust along the bottom of the doors, quarter panels, etc. The floor pans do have rust through. I'm thinking that over the next 18 months he could have a usable, presentable, really cool car. Any guidance I could get here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks rponycar

Hi Folks, I am in the process of rebuilding a smiko 1982 280ZX 2+2 Targa. I have written up a part description in "my profile". Should go like a cut cat and look fantastic. I've been a member of the IZCC for many years now joining when I bought my first 280ZX (member number 86) . Looking forward to seeing your articles and will contribute when I get the chance. Peter

Hello,i just signed up yesterday. In the past i have found some good, information at this site,so i decided to join in. I have owned a 75 280Z, for 31 years original owner. I try to do most all maintence and service myself now.In the past i paid a mechanic to do all service, restoration etc. If anyone has any ideas of why a newly replaced,(rebuilt) fuel pump is squalling like a banshee. The sound inside is unbearable! Let me know your ideas. People at Courtsey Nissan,TX. said check (Dampner) Guess what its NOT there, I have no dampner! Anyway any thoughts or *fixes* will be appreciated.

Alright, so here's the deal: vintage Z-cars are quite simply a thing of beauty. I'm a college student at the University of Texas at Austin, and I saw my first one several years ago during my freshmen year on the bus route to campus. It looks like it's got patches and crap all over it, but just the shape of the body and the long, long front hood just drew me in. Having said all that, the car I drive now is anything BUT a Z-car. So, within the next year or two, I'm looking to purchase an old 240Z or 260Z, but I honestly don't know what to look for when buying one of these. I'm expecting to pay about 2 grand for a car like this, and expecting to be putting in a lot of h…

Hello everybody. Just Registered here. I have owened 2 Z car in the past. a 75 280 and a 78 280. The 75 was a northern car and not taken care of very well. Guess you could call it a rust bucket. But I fixed it up. Being my first Z car, I was pretty impressed with the performance. Damn that thing was fast. The 78 was a southern car, very well maintained, I bought it from the second ownner. I performed a blueprint and balance on the original L28. Amazing what that can do, performance wise. Anway, I havent owned one in awhile, and like missing a beautiful woman, I have thought about her nearly everyday. So now I am ready for another. And I cant wait. So I am look…
