I'll start from the beginning..... I denied myself a 240 about 18 years ago. December of 2004, all hell broke loose. I bought 3 240s that month, 3 more in January and have had 6 more as well. I have sent 2 to the recycler after stripping their rusty carcasses and sold my only 1972 240. A week ago, I had three that ran and were insured to drive, two parts cars and one project. Last Thursday, a woman ran a red light and totalled my Series I 240 built 5/70 VIN HLS30-04339. I will heal, but the the damage to the frame rails and upper/lower radiator supports cannot be fixed. ( I am looking at a very solid '78 280 shell. Will my 240 parts fit/bolt into the 280 body? I want t…

hello to everyone. I am new to the z car scene. I recently acquired a 1974 260z vin rls30-029845. The car came to my family 15 years ago when the owner was killed in a car wreck in another car. It has been sitting ever since. I am on the fence as to whether to sell it or build it to what I want. It has the tripple weber setup on it now. Also it appears to have a L-28 installed according to the stamp on the block. It has a five speed with and a/c. Upon initial inspection I found that mice have apparently found the car to be a safe haven to live in. I removed all the carpet and insulation. The passenger floor pan is rotted through and the frame rail is bent under the floo…

hey, been a member of this site for awhile but my dedication to my 71 240z hasn't been as enthusiastic until the beginning of this year. i have sanded the car down to bare metal (exterior) and now its time for interior and under chassis to get clean and ready for the body shop. still haven't decided with all original or slightly modded. the body thus far has turned out to be rust free relatively straight (and painted at least eight times that i can tell):disappoin what is the general consensus for the disc brake conversion kit for the 240? later Steve '71 240z Tucson, AZ werd@ballisticimages.com www.ballisticimages.com

Hello.... I'm Stalkingbear and I don't have a Z. 'Hi Stalkingbear....' It all started when I was driving my Triumph TR3 waaaay back in 1970 in Tucson Arizona and a fancy little car pulled up next to me at the light, it changed and we took off.... I had probably moved about ten feet and he had already cleared the intersection..... bummer. Then, (now we are thirty years later...) my friend in Portland purchased an MG-TD and recently an Austin Healey... 'Hey 'bear, why don't you get a sports car.. for fun?' (I'm remembering all the HOURS spent under the LBC fixing things and I sort of figure..... I would be nuts to go back to that place... a Datsun Z would be for me....) S…
