I am already on hybridz.org and zdriver.com but I heard how good y'all are and was recommended by Zrush at ZdayZ this past weekend. I bought my early 74' 260Z that had been sitting under pine trees that were sapping the clearcoat off for 5 years. I bought the car on November 15, 2003. I got it running on that christmas day to where it would drive under it's own power and own gas tank. I drove the car for a year or so without doing much to it but then in August of 05 things went downhill...I blew a rollpin on one of the shift rods on the gearbox side of the transmission soI fixed that. While the car was on jackstands I put in some Toyota 4x4 calipers and new solid crossdri…

I just purchased this 1973 240Z. Looking for advice on restoring. If you have time take a look at the pictures located here http://www.canyondoggie.com/240Z.htm. Need to know things like. Should I media blast it? Do I replace rust spots with metal? Do you replace metal before media blasting? Any advice would be helpfull. Thanks Thanks for all the input. I am located in right next to Orlando. My Z is only really bad around the battery and floors. The rear and lid has no rust at all. When I get home tonight I will post the Vin #’s for my car. Any body have a idea how much “Dunking “a car can cost? Do you have to remove all the paint first? Thanks again

I am new to this site, but not to Z cars. I owned (:disappoin ) a 1971 240, HLS30-30855 from new to 1984. It was my baby. If I could locate it and it were for sale I would take her back. Look forward to possibly joining the owner ranks again.

Just became the proud owner of a 1971 240Z. The car mechanically is in pretty good shape (having a fueling issue at the moment) but will need some underbody and body panel work ( car looks awesome though). 118k original miles. Glad to find you guys. I already surf twinturbo.net daily (my baby is my 91 300ZX TT) so I am glad to find this site as well. Will definitely post some as I have lots of questions. Thankz!! Shawn

Just joined the forum. I'm looking to hopefully be getting into a 280Z sometime by the end of the year, it's just a matter of finding one that is the right price and doesn't need a ton of work. I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can from you guys, don't worry about me asking a ton of questions that have more than likey been asked a bazillion times over, I'm a member of many other forums and I'm even a Moderator over at www.thevboard.com, so I know how frustrating it can be when newbie goes all newbish. Later! Aaron

Thanks to everyone who helped answer my questions on my 1977 280z. I am interested in putting my car in one of those shows they have at local fast food spots, like Dairy Queen. I would like to hear about some of your experiences doing it, and any suggestions are welcome. Jeanne
