Hi, Im Adrian (australia) and im interested in a friends Datsun 260Z (1976) 5 speed manual, 2 door, fluted bonet, no rust, jelly bean mags, good condition, original stock engine and repainted and roadworthy. Just would like to to know if $2000 australian dollars is a good price. It comes with a second car for parts that has zcar mags and many other parts in good condition.

I've had a '75 280Z for about 13 years. Pretty much stock except for a slightly built up engine. Just recently was gifted with a '73 240Z donor car. Had been parked in the bushes since '91. Took 6 hours of straining to get it on the trailer 'cause the left rear brake was frozen. The car has lots of rust but a fair amount of usable stuff on it. I pulled the transmission for my own use but anyone is welcome to the carcass. It does roll now, since I yanked the drum off with a puller. Contact: david_e_98225@yahoo.com Dave

I just bought a '74 260Z from Arizona a few weeks ago that has been sitting for a while. It currently has an L26 and 4 speed that's not running and has the dreaded flattop carbs on it. I plan on putting an L28 with '71 S.U. carbs and a 5 speed from a '77 Z. I look foward to using this forum and getting this Z up and running soon. As you can see from the photos, I've got some work to do...

Hello everyone! I just recently purchased the car of my dreams, a 1974 260z. Now i'm here. Most people don't appreciate the Z car tradition, so I figured a Z car forum would. This is my second car. My first was a 1981 Accord hatch. It was a very cool car, but my new one is way cooler. so, about my car. It has a 4 speed, all stock engine, still has the cat, has an HKS Ti Hi power muffler that I put on, and an aftermarket bodykit that I am selling. The only problem with the car is the driver side fender, headlight bucket, and the front bumper is broken (fiberglass.) The thing that was coolest about the car is that I got it for 600 dollars, and drove it home. Well, let me kn…

Hi I am new to this site and I have a 76 280z 2+2 that I have been getting up and running again...it sat for 15 years and I put an entire new fuel system on it and am now working on the brakes and all the other stuff it needs..turns out my speedometer cable was leaking and I ordered new seals from MSA..they sent me the 2 on the right...the old one (on the left)..I cant find out what to call it..it was the one that was actually leaking. It is located on the speedometer nut at the transmission also (4 speed). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just came across this great site the other day and thought I should join. I'm on my second '78 with a long span of years in between. I haven't seen many older Zs in my area and most folks look like I told them I just had dinner with Elvis when I try to explain my passion for the Z. Good to see so many people passionate about the Z in one place.

Greetings, My name is Luis. I co-own a 1976 280-Z-2+2. I've owned this Z-car for about 5 years. It has spent about 3.5 years in shops for vairous stages of restoration. All in all it was worth the wait, because this Z is a real head turner and has won some awards.

Well, I still haven't had a chance to post some pics of my car, and the following story is why: I posted a month ago about the experience I've had with my recently purchased, beautifully restored, highly modified '73 240Z. If you'd like a refresher, here it is: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20909&highlight=help%2Finput Please read it before you continue. I tried one last attempt to get the mechanic to respond to me and complete the project at the end of March. I wrote a very concise list of my grievances and demanded to know when he would complete the car. Well, once again, he would not give a completion date. Until yesterday (5/3/06), I ha…

Hello fellow Zcar owners and greetings from sunny Bremerton, Wa. Many of you have probably already noticed that I am a new comer who would like to meet new friends who I can chat with and hopefully exchange ideas with about Zcars. My name is Oscar Esteban. I own a '78 280Z which my brother and I are currently trying to restore. We are hoping that we can get some help from experts out there who could share their expertise on how we can facilitate its restoration. I am glad to be a part of this club. Oscar

Just brought her home two days ago, has been sitting in a garage for 3 years with half a tank of gas in her. I guess we can call it turpintine now, huh? Looking forward to visiting your site alot in the next few months. Had a 75 280z up in Alaska in the late 70's and was a nice car. Not many roads then that could handle her. :p I am in Central WAshington state now and looking forward to restoring this one.
