Hi z fans, I just bought my second z after owning 1 for nearly 20 years. My previous z is now waiting to be brought back to life, so I had to get another one. I kind of "accidently" found one that is a 10/70 production date and it seems is a series one 240. I didn't realize that there were different series (fortunately for me, neither did the guy selling it). It is all original and is in nearly perfect condition and has had only one previous owner, it even has the original owners manual. I can't wait to fully restore it, and can't believe my luck in finding it.

I joined up a little bit ago and am finally getting around to introducing myself. I live in upstate NY, and should have my Z in posession next month. (cannot wait) The car that I have is a '73 240 with a 260 motor and a 5 speed. I plan on driving it throughout the summer and then this fall/winter of starting a total ground up restoration/mod with it. I want to fully restore the body and interior (with a non-stock color though) and keep the 260 motor with a few tweaks, possibly an LSD transplant and maybe a triple duece weber setup.

Oh, now this is the closest thing I've got to a Z-car story... Today (yesterday) UPS brought me my brand new 'cold air intake' with a BOMZ Racing filter... now I say cold-air in quotes just because... well, it's one of those cheapo ones where it's just an aluminum pipe that sticks into where the airbox used to be, though admittedly, the stock location is pretty nice if it's cold air you're after... Anyway, I set to work on it right of way. I unbolted the stock box but... for whatever reason... the tension screw keeping the box and the rubber attached would not come loose, so I tried some WD-40 (the only penetrating oil I had)... and when that (plus several different kin…

Hey guys and gals...Boy how things can change the way you want to do things. I needed to get the Z on the road as soon as possible so after having all the suspension torn out and put back in with urethane bushings and tokico lowering springs and hp struts and new ball joints, tie rod ends, brake calipers and drums and shoes and wheels and tires ztherapy carbs and header and exhaust etc etc etc I was nervous but had to take her out to Davenport IA today for a 172 mile round trip because my job had me go up for a meeting. Well IT WAS AWESOME!!! I have only one question for everyone. I know that it will depend on diff gears, wheel and tire circumference etc. but at what rpm …

I owned an '81 280z in CA in the 1980's that got totaled and it broke my heart to walk away from it. The insurance company gave me over bluebook because it was in such good shape. I bought another '81 and a '77 last year and plan to buy a 240 this year to complete my collection. It has become my hobby and I am thrilled everytime, I drive one. My biggest problem is deciding which one to drive. The looks and comments I get are constant and yesterday I drove both to make my day complete. I shipped one car from CA and another from Texas, when I bought them. Most Z's in MI have gone to heaven because of the rust here so I have declared myself President of the Z CLub because I …
