Due to a potential career change (i.e. relocation) and the lack of adequate attention I have been able to devote to her, I have come to the conclusion that I will likely have to put the Z up for sale. :disappoin I need some help and advice on what an appropriate asking price would be, if it's appropriate to ask this here. (I value and trust what the members of this board say, which is why I'm asking for opinions.) It am truly heartbroken to have to be doing this and I sincerely appreciate all the info and knowledge I have acquired on this board since I've been here. Here's the info (There are pics in my gallery as well): -I am the second owner and I have owned it for …

Hello I just found out about this site from MatMan over at HybridZ and signed up! I'm in the middle of a Ferrari 250gto convertible (Velo Rossa) rebody and SBC swap on my 78 280Z. To say I've got my hands full is an understatement. I just completed subframe and other structural mods while the car was on a rotisserie and it's back on the ground with the suspension completed. I am really pumped about having another great online resource for this project. Thanks!

Hey there, I'v had an idea to register here for ages. But now i kicked my self to do it. Im from the same city as "260z" is. We have few Z's in here I guess 260z has told about them already. I have a -83 280zx (the 83 model wasn't an option in the selection of "my Z cars" in options for some reason?) Aaaanyway it's been driven 270tkm and has some rust under the floormat, but thats usual in these This one i bought little over a year ago. Drove it last winter with no problems, but for this winter i got another car so i don't have to spank the poor Z in the cold. Im thinking of getting the rust off and repainting it to black. Also i need some Chrome rims under it. Mmm…

Heya folks, 25yr old Aussie from Melbourne here. I presently drive a 1995 Toyota Supra (no stupid bodykits though, never been into that), but I've decided that it's time to pursue a love of mine that has come and gone over the past 5 or so years. I went to school with a guy who drives an amazing RB20DETT-powered 260Z, and ever since I saw it I've been in love. For some reason I bought the Supra when I should have bought a Z, and as much as I honestly do love my Supra, it's time to get rid of it and move onto the sexiest affordable sports car in the history of the breed. So, yeah. I'm not yet an owner but I plan to be soon. I can't afford much (the money I'll make o…

Hi 'im new to this forum.. I have spent most of last year having my 240Z (G) restored by a local restorer ( well known in kent) I say restored, but to my specifications really.. Not original but how the car was when i brought it.. I was told it was a samuri conversion but hey how would i know!! Its 90% complete now and i look forward to meeting like minded people around the south east in the summer. The car now has an imported dry shell from California and was a bare metal rebuild so no rust just yet in the usual places, wax oiled and undersealed. Feel free to drop me a line should you want to comment or offer advice.. I am looking for a decent centre consel and somebody…

Hey everybody, I'm new here and just starting to get interested in Vintage sports cars. I'm wondering if you can help me find one I fit in. I'm 6'4" and find many sports cars don't fit. Yesterday, I tired to squeeze into a 1974 TR6. I had good headroom, but there is no way I could drive that car as my knees were eating dash. Are the 240 Zs any better re legroom for tall drivers? Any other sports cars you can suggest that accomodate tall drivers? I'm looking for an entry level vintage sports car to purchase in the future. I like what I see and read about the 1965-1975 Porsche 911, 1969-1973 TR6 and 1970-1973 240Z. I think the wife would freak if I put down more th…

Hello all, I'm a new member and noticed alot of you are looking for Z-parts. Try calling Barry @ East Coast Z's, (757) 543 6608. He has a Z bone yard and I'm told he has close to 300 Z's. I have purchased alot of parts for my daughters 280 from him and I am totally pleased. Ken

It's out, baby! Took the engine and trans out yesterday BY MYSELF, thank you very much...Only managed to spill about 1/2 cup coolant (unchecked heater hose--doh!) and a smidge of leftover trans fluid. No dings, scrapes, bent pipes or other injuries. Old motor is now mounted and being disassembled. Surprisingly, not many bolts are frozen, but a bunch of the screws on the hose clamps are. Now the next 3 months will be spent inside the engine bay scrapin, grindin and sprayin--at least it beats the undercarriage! S

Might need you guys to give me a hand on this one. I am not an owner yet. Have always like the early 240s. Came across a So Cal car that's been sitting in a garage for a long time. Seems to be original. The owner wants a few hundred bucks for it. I don't know much about them other then they are a blast to drive. I have been digging through out the net trying to find info on them for the last day. Time isn't on my side. We just had a 5 week old baby, and man, that's taking lot of time. So much for surfing the net. Glad I found this place (did a little seraching) and hoping something can help with a few quick questions. So, here it is: No one know what year the …
