Hey everyone. My name is Dewayne this is my 1st post and I am saying hello. My cousin has a 1970 240z that I am in love with. I am a little car crazy because thoughts of getting a 240z or 280z have entered my mind. I currently have a 350z but love the classic lines of the 240z. PS Hey 2003z. I followed you here also. .

Just wanted to say hello to everyone out there. I am a previous Z owner, this will make like number 12 or something. I got spoiled by my first Z (77 280 Orange) and have never been able to match her. I now have a 76 280 (With original window sticker and Guarantee & Service Booklet) that is very clean (Low Rust) and original except the engine. Its been a few years since I owned a Z and it feels darn good to have one again. Hope to learn some more about them and will try and help where ever possible. Hi all Just discovered this web site. Fantastic work by all those who administer it (probably one person, overworked and underloved.) and those who contribute to its content. I'm an ex-Z car owner, wanting (soon) to become a current Z car owner again. I had a 240Z. I think it was a '72. Pretty much stock, but after I had the head serviced with a 3 cut valve job, it went really well. Best handling car I ever had. That's why I want another one. I love driving fast in the forests. Australia has a lot of dirt roads, so why not make the most of them! My current car is a Subaru (don't flame me!) Forester XT. As in, T for Turbo. It goes great. And is quite quick on dir…

Hello, I have a 1983 280zx turbo. The impeller on the turbo is broken. I am not having any luck at all finding a used one locally. Does someone have one that they would be willing to sell me?

Have had a lot of help from this terrific board over the last 4 months or so. Now I've got a car. It becomes my second 240, the first being a 1972 (orange) that was with me till late in 1978. There was also a '76 280, mine 1981-88. This new one -- it's a '73, and there are some more photos in my new member gallery. Unsurprisingly a '73 wasn't my first choice, but this was the best car that I found, and I do think it was a find. I'm the third owner, the second having been a good guy who acquired it to settle a debt with a friend, had it five years, worked on it, virtually never drove it. He rebuilt the engine, put in round-tops, did lots of other good stuff, and as you w…

Hey everyone - I am super stoked to be here. About 3 weeks ago I got a 1970 240Z after 17 years without a Z. See . . . my first car ever was a 1972 240Z. I got it when I was 16, drove it for 3 months, and totalled it. I was in the hospital for a week and had my spleen removed - nearly died. God what a crappy driver I was (and 3 beers at 16 didn't help)........ I've always wanted another one. After my recovery I had a chance to buy a perfect orange 1972 240Z with something like 60,000 original miles for real cheap and passed on it. I have dreamed of getting one all this time. I even have the original shift knob from the Z I crashed waiting to find a new home for it. …

I've been wanting to get a Z for years. Ever since my brother took me out for a spin in his 240 I was hooked! I would read on and off about the Z but never took any initiative. I have the opportunity to buy an all original 1972 orange 240z with 50k original miles. Mint or near mint condition, no dings, no scratches, original stereo, and even wooden door locks or so. Clean in and out and absolutely no rust. It was always a garaged car. At the price of 8,000 USD. Is this a good deal? What is it worth if its true to its descriptions? The thing is, I did not see the car myself, but my friend checked it out and even test drove it. I give his opinion weight because his family o…

Ive been a fan of the z cars for many years, and have looked at several, until, i decided to buy one. Its a 73 thats in pretty good shape, considering i know very little abou the car's history, other than the same fellow has owned it for about the last 10 years. lemme see if i cna get some pictures to work: You can see more pictures in my galleries at http://carpron.com/multisite/v/Upload/A5295/ Over look that hitch that he "made to fit" on the car-its nwo been removed, and ive gone toward soem bigger and better things with the car. I am tryng to learn as much as i can, especially considering this is the first car ive ever owned that i havent had what some woul…

hello, my name is Cornell. I am new here and would like to introduce myself, i am very happy to be a member of thr Zcar club. I just retired from the Marine Corps (30) years, and I am about to restore my 1974 Fairlady Z 2+2 right hand drive, I shipped it back from Japan in 1983. I have a L20A engine in it, and I was hopeing that someone would know something about this engine. I dont know yet if I am going to rebuild L20A or just replace it with a L24, or L26. The interior is mint (dash board has crack) but everythin still works, as well as the engine, and yes I do have some rust, and am looking for L/R lower rear fenders, and the L/R rocker panel ends for a 2+2, and I have…
