Just wondering how practical it would be to go EFI on my 240z. I currently have all the parts to go with any of these: A) Stock Dual SU's Triple Mikuni's C) Electronic Fuel Injection I was strongly leaning toward B, but, I managed to get my other 280z running. The EFI is soo smooth and seems to be reliable. It might be worth the conversion just for the reliability. I've seen people run the triples. However, they are always in need of adjustment. But, they just look soo damn cool! Anyway, what do you think?

Well, I finally sucked it in and purchased a brand new dash for my '71 240z. It arrived last week!! I was only able to obtain a '72 dash due to the scarce population of new dashboards. I also purchased a few replacement guages and things from Ebay. After a quick review of my electrical harnesses (and possible replacement), I'll be installing the interior components very soon!! Next on the adjenda is to purchase sound-deadening material so I can bolt-in the dash. Engine systems will come after that. I should get started on a replacement engine very soon because I just know I'll have to wait WEEKS before that is done. [m]

Hey, this is my first zed..its a 1975 2seater 260z, i bought it about a month and a half ago, it has an L28, the body isnt in such a bad condition but there are signs that bog has been used because there are cracks in certain areas. The chassis is straight and perfect, the interior isnt perfect with bad cracks on the dash, centre console etc in okay condition, seats are ok, in need of new carpets, ive already started stripping the car down and getting her ready for a restoration. I will probably get the car sandblasted and taken to a panelbeater to get all the rust fixed and any dents etc, im still having trouble what colour to paint her im thinking maybe metallic orange,…

>>>Alphadog wrote: I refer to my Z as a male, because after all it's pretty damn masculine if you ask me. A female name doesn't fit, IMO. >>> I agree. I have had alot of Z's. Named them all. First was an '80 280ZX. Named it after the Chinese God of Nine Hells: Yenlowong. After the brakes failed and the car crashed, I suppose in retropect naming a car after this was not such a good idea. Second Z (bought exactly 3 hours after crashing my first) was a '81 280ZX. Named it SunhouTzu after the Monkey King or the Iron Monkey, a popular Chinese character in mythology. He stormed the gates of hell and tricked the Devil several times. I thought it appropriate. Th…

How many of you have a story to tell about a situation involving a police officer? I mean, there are times in my youth when I decided to either hide or run from the law. I'll post my story, but, I also want to hear yours. This thread is a result of quite a few stories told on the mailing list. However, none of them have been shown on the website. I think it's great and of course the club does not promote this kind of activity what-so-ever. So, let's hear 'em!!

I have two short stories that I just gotta tell somebody. I have been having trouble with my coolant as alot of you know by my questions. Well I have been rerouting my coolant lines not too much but a little. I also have been working on my heater. Well yesterday I took my manifold out of my coolant loop. So now it just goes to my heater and my block with probably increased pressure. Well I am driving down the road yesterday, and my thermostat opens. Well to make a long story short my problem with my heater was not only my valve but also my heater core has a cracked pipe. Coolant was everywhere. I live out in BFE with no place to pull off. So here I am driving …

I own a 240z with 14,000 original miles. I purchased this vehicle from a gentleman in Florida that purchased it from the dealer in 1971 new. He was 38 years ol. He is now 69 years old. The first few years he put the mileage on the car. Then he put it in the garage with a car cover on it until I purchased it last month. The vehicle is new and completely original. I will show pictures soon. It may be one of the most original perfect 1971 240Z cars on the planet. Silver with black interior and an 8track radio a dealer option in 1971 and it works.
