Finally got my 240Z! I posted on here a while back when I was looking at ads and now I've finally had the time and space in my garage to pick one up. The car is in great shape with no rust and the engine is solid. Bought it from a guy in WV off of eBay... the whole process actually went pretty well. It has a couple problems that I'll be working on soon... few paint chips around the corners of the hood, parking brake doesn't work and there is a strong fuel smell in the cabin. So I'm sure I'll be on the forums here a lot asking questions. Anyone else here from the Maryland area and are there any clubs around? Seems like a lot of people are further out west. Also the hum…

Hi! My name is Tom-Anders and I am the proud owner of this newly acquired 1970 240z:) The car arrived in norway coming from the US a few weeks ago. Unfortunately the car had been messed with during transport so the front windshield was cracked badly and the propshaft was torn apart. I also heard bad rattling sounds coming from the head which turned out to be one of the rocker arms that had jumped out of position:paranoid: Seems like someone has tried to do burnouts with it or something:ermm: Anyways, I am fixing all these things + some other things to get the car registered here in norway. This is my first Z, so I am probably going to have some questions that…

I bought my Z car in 1972 and am still driving it. Happily at 83 as a retired surgeon I still enjoy driving it, but unhappily I'm finding hard to get into and out of and I'm hoping to sell it to someone who will appreciate being a Z owner. It has been in California except for 2 years At Scott AFB in southern Illinois and 3 years in Washington DC. so rust isn't a problem. It has 180,000 miles on it, has the original engine and still runs well, but has also the original interior. How would you suggest I learn what it is worth and what is the best way to sell it? I can't imagine how it would work on eBay and is there another way to put it on the market besides Craig's List? …

So after a few months of searching, I finally picked up my second Z. My first one was sold to help pay my way through college. This is a '78 with 63K miles on her. There's hardly a lick of rust on the whole car, with only a slight bubble on the hatch and some showing through on the front of the rear quarters. The frame rails, floorboards, and spare tire well are gorgeous metal. The battery tray area looks great from what I can tell but haven't pulled the battery out yet so knocking on wood still with that. The dash has a couple of smaller cracks that I'll attempt to fix later on. Otherwise, the interior is in great shape. One of the cool finds I had with this car …

So I found this sweet Z and I was hoping that I would restore it but I have too many projects so I am letting it go. I thought I would share it with you all. 1971 Datsun 240Z. Garage Find. Found from the Original Owner and has been in storage for almost 20 years. 94xxx Original Miles. Car is original and unmolested. L24 with E31 head, 4 speed transmission and original dealer installed A/C. Exterior: Body is straight and does not appear to have had any major collisions. It was repainted many years ago and the paint is faded and is checking in areas, especially on the hood. The body has minimal rust on it. The floors, spare tire well, quarters and rockers are in goo…

After owning an original 1971 240Z from 1971 to 1981 and then selling it (regretted even since) due to our son's car seat not fitting in it (back deck), I recently purchased a 1971 240Z that is very original. I bought the car from an engineer in Washington State and then drove it home to Colorado! It was a 1250 mile 3 day beautiful drive (although hot without A/C) and the new Z ran smoothly all the way. It has beautiful red (repaint with original 1971 Red Datsun color shade) paint and a "dealer option installed" black folding (material replaced) moon/sun roof. If anyone has any further info or website forum threads on this type of roof, please let me know. I think…

Hey everyone, A few years ago I had sold off my Z to help pay to get my degree in Mechanical Engineering but thankfully, that decision among many others got me a good job so I'm back to get back into another S30! Just wanted to re-introduce since its been ~4 years since I was last on here. My name's Will and I'm new to the Milwaukee area so if any of you have a rust free 240-280 laying around, lemme know!

Well after all these years, I am back. I used to have a 1970 240z running project car four years ago. My wife got pregnant and we were already tight on cash so I had to sadly sell it. I am now back into looking at Z cars. Hoping to be able to pick one up after I graduate in a year or so. I figured I would start getting myself reeducated for when the time comes. Start saving the pennies as well. What happened to all the nice threads that listed all the different types of heads, transmissions, differentials, and what fit what and what was required to make stuff fit? Because cars are still fairly plenty, just getting pricey, I'm thinking that I am going to pick up …
