Hello everyone I'm vuddysr, yep, new kid on the block. Just found this site and happy to be here. I've owned my 1977 late edition 280z for 27 years and I'm currently restoring it. Darn squirrels ate the wires to the engine harness and I need to find a solution. There will be no problem with the interior because I am a vintage vehicle upholsterer. Been doin upholstery for 40 years mostly home and commercial furniture until one day I met a man that was restoring a 1942 Dodge and he needed the seats upholstered so we made a sweet deal involving the Dodges seats and my Z. So here we are, body work in process, engine rebuilt, but the wires are corroded and some chewed areas. I…

Hello everyone, My name is Mark, I am new to the Houston area. I own/built my 1972 hybrid 240z. It's a 350SBC swap with 700r4 tranny. It also has a 75 shot just for fun. I just picked up a 78 280z that surprisingly still runs after decades of neglect. Iplan on restoring this one so my daughter and wife can drive it. Hope to use this site and resources to answer my questions along the way. Anyways hello everyone.

Greetings everyone, I'm from Kirkland, WA and I just got my 1972 240Z today! She's been cruising around Arizona most of her life, so surface rust is all I've been able to find. Looking forward to getting to know everyone here! -Mike

New to the forum. I have a 78 280Z, pretty much all original 4 speed car. At some point I'd like to start working on it and maybe to a little road course/track time with it.

My name's jonathon, i'm 20 years old, i enjoy learning as much as i can about everything, i absolutely love Z cars. i'm a caring southern boy but i live in the northwest US and people think i belong down in Louisiana, or in a corn field. I'm good at welding, shooting, driving, cooking, and debating. i like to talk about politics as well but since this is a Z car forum i'll stick to Z's for the most part. Almost forgot to mention my Z right now is a 1982 280zx NA 2+2.

Just dropping a quick first post. I picked up a project 73' 240 a couple months ago and I'm looking forward to getting started. I'm finishing up a 71' 911 so this will be the next in line. Of course it's going to be my wife's car since she had one when younger and always wanted another. Anyway, I plan to get the mechanicals in order first, meaning getting it up and running as best I can before started in the cutting and welding. It has the flat top Hitachi carbs which have already irritated me but I'm not going to throw cash at that problem until I go through the car to be sure there are no deal breakers. Thanks all.......

hey z lovers;iam new to this "Z" club thing, even though i have owned a number of Z's over the years.Ime also computer stupid,so i feel like Ive taken quite the step today!the reason Ime doing this is I have a 77 280z that is having a problem that I thought i might be able to get some input on.It starts and idles fine....for about 10 seconds. Then the motor drops in RPM,begins missing, and starts blowing black smoke out exhaust.{obviously too much fuel}This does not happen gradually, but suddenly, like a switch or relay opens.any ideas?

Hi all My name is Drew. I'm 23 and currently studying to be a mechanical engineer at Cal poly Pomona. I recently purchased a 1977 280z to replace my previous car that was totaled in December. I love the car and I'm having a great time chasing all the gremlins out of her. I'm hoping that all the great information and knowledge encompassed in this site will help me avoid a few headaches along the way as get the car up and running as she should. I will most likely have a lot of questions over the coming months (which I will endeavor to answer with the search function first) so please go easy on me . See you on the streets.

Hey everyone My name is Yury Lyalko and I run Wiring Specialties - Nissan/Datsun Wiring Harnesses. We are a shop based in CT with over 10 years under our belts and thousands of harnesses created to date. We started by making custom Nissan wiring harnesses for SR20 swaps into 240sx's. Now a days we feature a full line of pre-made, brand new, plug and play harnesses (main engine and lower) for a variety of Nissan's and Datsun's. We just recently got into the Datsun scene last year with a few stand alone harnesses but this year we are looking to dive into it even more. I've been a fan of Nissans and of the 240sx for about 2 decades now and an owner for over a decade. My cur…
