I came across this 1970 240Z sitting in an automechanic's yard. He had been storing it for a friend for the better part of a year. I asked if it was for sale. At first, the automechanic's friend wasn't interested in selling. I'm guessing the automechanic (who was storing the car rent free) finally talked him into it. I purchased the vehicle for $2,800. The car was in pretty rough shape, but it did run. I've only ever driven it twice. The first was a test drive before I bought it and the second time was to drive it home. The car has crazy get-up and go. As far as I can tell, the engine had been rebuilt with a N47 head and a 5-speed transmission replaced the origional 4. T…

just bought my 2nd 240z 73, broke down on me 30min after i bought her, hasn't really need driven in 3 years so Im hoping for an easy fuel filter and tune up. Will be looking for quite a few parts this week. So far i know i need a New wiper motor-arms-and all connecting parts. Asap. Brake lights are out, hood release is broken, driver door doesn't lock, and she appears to be arse heavy as my head lights are trying to blind small planes. Hope to hear from you and thanks for having me.

For those of you who like hawaii and z cars.... Took my z to the beach today and watched the sun set into the blue pacific. Yes the a/c was on and yes it is the middle of december. Sat on the front bumper and enjoyed the moment. For those of you who know the big island the pictures were taken down by otec near the airport. The waves today were a little big and had to check that out too along with the sunset. If you're ever on the big island cruising the kohala coast and you see a black z thats me cuz i've got the only one on the island.

Hey again everyone. This is my personal project and my company demo car that we have been slowly building for some time. In the link is the 2010 setup when were were running a stroked RB30 to 3.1L. This past summer the block was sent out to a shop in Chicago where it has been stroked even further to 3.2L. We hope to have it back in the car early this coming year and get it out for some driving once again. To our knowledge, there is only 1 other 3.2L RB in North America. It is an S13 out in Chicago that we wired up last year. A few details: 3.2 L RB30 Twin HKS GTRS 740cc Nismo injectors Aussie Rods and Wiseco Pistons AEM The head is an RB25 head for the RB26 manifold…

As a new member, let me try and introduce myself. If my "handle" is one that you may have heard, then that tells me that you may have "vacationed" ,as a young man ,on a government "all paid vacation" in beautiful ,tropical Viet Nam. The term "Twoelouie" was Viet slang for a young American G.I. that had too many Viet girlfriends ( can one ever have "too many girlfriends" ??) As a matter of fact my 1971 Z car is my "survival present" from my year spent there! I am from Schenectady/Brooklyn N.Y. and now live in Denver, Co. I work for the govt with Job Corps and collect older cars ( 1967 Olds Cutlass ( convertible) ,1973 Chevy Caprice ( convertible) , 1983 Chevy Z28 "Crossfir…

Hi all, I'm in the process of buying my first Z, a 75 280z. Plans are for a capable track day car, essentially completely stripped but clean-looking (I'll deal with a little extra weight to maintain a good looking car), full cage, with the bare bones of being street legal so I can drive it on the streets every once in a while. with the car I am getting a 4 speed (which will probably not be used, in favor of a borg T5) and a p30/e31 engine, so I'm assuming 2.4 Tentative powertrain plans are F54 block, with the e31 head/mani/round top SU's that I already have to get to around 9.5-10:1 CR and safely be able to run 91 or 93 octane (we have 93 available pretty m…

I wanted to introduce myself, my first 3 cars were 2-240z and a 260z, but that was in the 80's when these cars we closer to new. I have a couple other classic in the garage but could no longer fight the urge to find another 240z. I fould a 1973 in las vegas with 78k that has the jim cook racing rear fenders and whale tail. I am the second owner on title (a couple of other owners i think, but hadn't registered it) Basically it has only been driven by one owner and that is obvious because it isn't all hacked up everything is there and stock.( even things i didn't know they came with} It has sat awhile so just starting to go through things, I'm like a little kid in the can…
