I'm getting set to sort of retire soon and haven't done anything with the Z for a long time. I'm more in to off-roading now and may sell my 71. Photos in my gallery... thoughts?

I previously owned a 75 280Z and I just purchased this 83 280ZX. The previous owner put a lot of work into it, but there's still lots to do. I had a mechanic check it out and he was pretty much amazed in the condition. I'm going to bring it in next week for the brake repair. I also plan to get the floorboards cut out and replaced in the near future. After that, it will just be a little bit here and there. I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions in the future! Thanks! Roman Here's the description the buyer posted and a picture: Awesome classic, rust free 1983 Datsun 280ZX... Z car pampered and maintained as a reliable daily driver or weekend cruiser. This Z had som…

I'm a newbie here and just wanted to say Hello to all. Currently own 2 Zs... a late '74 260Z and a '04 350Z (and a TR6... and a 911...what can I say...I'm afflicted!). The 260 is all original down to it's date-coded RD-150 tires. Shows 28,xxx miles and appears to have mostly original paint. Still has some new car smell! I was looking for a manual 240Z but this popped up locally some years back and I thought I would be dumb to pass on it. I have thought about making it into my version of what an early Z should be but that would include converting to a 5-speed, doing something with those bumpers, doing the suspension, and getting some more power out of the engine. Of course…

Hi folks, I've owned three Z cars, a 73 240, 78 280 and a 79ZX, all manual transmissions. Loved the cars, my nickname back in the 70's was "Z-Chuck". Had some of the best times in my life with those cars. I'd like to get back into a 280 Z and that's why I'm here.

I'm currently living/attending school in Utah but I'm from Texas. Just bought a 1977 280Z that is complete. However, there is a fueling issue. I also own a 1975 that has no engine or trans. I'm extremely excited to get this 77 running so that I can swap the engine/trans into the much cleaner and rust free 75 chassis. Thank you for keeping this site up and running!!

Been in the Z community for years but this is my first s30. I had a z31 for over 10 years and it was recently stolen 2 months ago:disappoin. I been quite depressed about it and thought I would purchase another z to get back on track. I found this 76 280z in Holiday FL and it just felt right when I first saw it " got that kid in the candy store feeling". I also have a couple older 80's BMW's that I enjoy but deep down inside im a Z car guy. Here are some photos and plans I have I already got the fart can chopped off the back , It has working 370z turn signals, 350z seats and lots of LED lighting. Paint is in pretty good shape and the interior is clean with new…

I actually already kind of introduced myself in an engine thread, but I figured I would go ahead and make a post about myself. I'm Ted (obviously), and I was previously a pharmaceutical technician for a local hospital, but I've recently left their to become a Navy guy, specifically aviation mechanics. I'm 23 years old, and have had a slew of different cars. I was a big push rod muscle car guy when I was in high school, but it was mostly the fact that they were stupid loud and incredibly simple. I've had a '78, '79, and '86 Camaro, all with pretty typical 350s, an '85 El Camino with a 305, and my first car, a '65 Corvair Monza 110 that me and my dad built. As far as daili…

Well, I have been wanting a Z for years. I have owned a number of Datsun Roadsters, including my "forever car," a 67.5 2000 I have had for over 20 years, and will never sell. I found this Z car down by Bend, OR, in April of this year. Although it did not have an engine, or gearbox, the body was in pretty good shape, and otherwise complete. It is an early 260, s/n 3836. I purchased it, drug it home, and have been gathering parts for it since. I pulled an engine and trans out of a later Z at our local pull and save, pulled factory air out of a 76 280 (Since factory air was an option on the 260, I thought that would be a nice addition) also at pull and save. Other parts in…
