Hello guys! New to the forum, but I've already been using it for a lot of useful information. I just picked up at 1970 240Z, I guess you can say it's been in the family since practically brand new. My aunt got it for her first car in 1973 and has owned it since. 11 years ago it threw a connecting rod out of the side of the block and has sat in the garage since then. I drove 30 hours last mouth round trip in a weekend to pick the Z up and the rebuild has already started. Plans are to swap a 280Z motor, trans, and rear end into it and hoping to have it on the road by the spring. I already picked up a 79' 280ZX parts car and have pulled all the necessary parts and the…

I found a 74 260Z that is in fair condition. The clutch needs bleeding or possibly a master cylinder. It does have some rust above the windshield, and behind the rear wheels. It does not appear to be rusted all the way through. It is pretty much original, and I believe it is a late 260 because of the bumpers. It was last driven about 2 years ago and has been cranked often since then. The interior is ok, but needs a good cleaning. The seller is asking $1500. It will need a paint job and new door and glass rubber gaskets. I had a 73 240Z way back in 78 and drove it for about 3 years. I loved it and have wanted another one ever since. I know I will have to sink some $$$ into…

Hi, I've owned two 240Z's, a 1973 SCCA-ITS car with a Rebello race motor sold a few years ago, and a 1973 project car, now departed. That ITS car was originally built in the 90's, looked rough but the motor was very strong and even with aged shocks, was surprisingly fast on the track. I bumped into its second owner at an autocross recently. I've got several boxes of stuff from these cars, grill, miscellaneous trim pieces, fuel pump, carb rebuild kits that I'd like to give to someone that can use them. Where is a place I can post this stuff? Thanks!

Hello, My name is Darryn and my son was given a 1973 240z sporting a 280z engine from his grandfather today. My son will be 16 shortly and is drooling looking at the car. The car has issues, but with some TLC and daddy's wallet it could be an "awesome" car. I have many questions and things to fix on the car, but before I waste anybody's time I will read threw the posted threads and may find my answers there. , as I am typing this my son just came in and told me while he was showing his friend the car, the hatchback strong arm just broke off and now the hatch won't stay open. 0ooooo I am going to the poor house I just know it.

Well, i guess I've been on here since '09, but that, IIRC, was to sell Don Ahrens SCCA E prod race car for him... Either way, fast forward till now, and i have a 75, and a 78 280, and just traded my 72 daily driver for a new daily (1995 240SX). Name's Marshall, 29, i live in Gainesville FL (GO GATORS!!), I've been actively drifting 240SX's since 07, and in the recent months, made the change to Z cars. You guys probably wont like the directions I'm taking my 75 and 77, but I'll give you all a brief run down none the less... Both cars will be painted WWII US Army OD Green, with shark mouths from the rear of the front fenders back, and driver name/sponsor logos in the WWII s…

Good morning all Z club members, glad to have found this site. I have a 74Z for sale and would like some feedback. It has appx 55000mi, is slightly modified with 3 40dcoe weber carbs, headers, freeflow exhaust, mulholland suspension, chrome wheels. Other than these it's stock, with a little rust. Any suggestions on what to ask? Thanks in advance, Harv Here's a pic

Hello all- I'm a recent first time Z owner. I'm in Fishkill NY. I have pretty much wanted a Z since I was a kid, but for one reason or another never ended up with one. I've been lurking around here since the beginning of the summer when I started thinking about actually buying myself one as a project for my birthday (hit the 4-0 in Sept) . Back at the end of June I finally found one on Craigslist that was local to me ~ 20 min away. I was the first one to respond to the ad and promptly set up a meet to check it out. I've never really worked on cars before, only on motorcycles- so I brought a buddy that was much more car savvy with me to check things out. When we firs…
