Hello Calssic Z Club: I've been a Z car owner for 25 years now. I purchased my Fairlady in'86 while serving in the military @ Misawa Japan. The car has been garaged for the past ten years, now is the time to do a full restoration. Over the past two months have been purchasing many parts for this resto. Floor pans from Zeddsfindings, frame rails from baddogparts, rocker panels from millssupply. Looking to purchase a set of full rear quarter panels pref a set of new old stock (wishful thinking) if not a set taken of a California or rust free donor car. Any leads on parts would be greatly appreciated. Have been photographing the parts to catalog and document this r…

Hi all, I bought my first 240Z in college and now, more than a decade later, I will once again be a Z car owner. In six days, I will fly to Indianapolis, where my parents live, to pick up a '72 240Z that has been sitting in a garage for the past 5 years. The owner of said car, me, stupidly (and stubbornly) held on to it instead of selling it, when he (I) moved to NYC. I don't know what condition it will be in when I see it. It ran well when I drove it into the garage, but I expect it will need a good deal of work before I can drive it out again. The plan is to do enough work to it to drive it back to NYC and use it as a weekend getaway/beach car for the summer. …

Well I finally collected the 1973 240Z today Not many here in Denmark however it was stored around only 60 km from me. The engine and gearbox is removed and it's kinda stripped out a bit, but most parts seem to be there. The previous owner mentioned that it had been a show car in the 80's being driven on a trailer throughout Scandinavia and may also have a rally background, so if anyone knows anything about it please let me know. It's fairly recognizable by it's airbrushed bonnet. Not my cup of tea but was probably pretty cool then. There is a body kit fitted and the bumpers are removed. Any info here is also appreciated. Here is some photos...

Hey all. Just thought I'd take a minute to tell you the story behind my new Baby. When we moved into our current house I noticed that the guy next door had a (901) silver 240Z sitting in the weeds in his "back 40'. After several bench racing sessions over the back fence I mentioned that I'd had 3 240Zs and a 260Z over the last 25 years or so and would love to have another. "I don't want to sell this one 'cause I'm gonna drop a Nissan V-6 in it". Bummer... However, after 4 years of constant but subtle pestering, I get a phone call one afternoon. "Hey Man, you still want this old Z?" Uhhh, YEAH!!! "Tell ya what, if you can pull it outta the mud that's held it captive for th…

I have always wanted a 240z. But I am not new to the Z family. See link below: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10100119750171618.2470464.12710909&l=5d80ddeffa&type=1 I rebuild the Shiro the best I could considering I was a poor college student and I bought a very rare car full of the previous owners mistakes. I just finished getting a 1987 300zx na on the road and my boss bought it from me because I stumbled across this: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10100119743465058.2470463.12710909&l=2fdfc5a7bd&type=1 I am the thrid owner of this car. I was raised in Detroit, Michigan, a “car guy” from the cradle. My grandfather sold used cars and my father worked in advertising promoting Chevrolet, Chrysler and Ford. After college I followed in my father’s footsteps in the ad business, working on Ford, Oldsmobile, Jaguar, Chrysler, VW, Audi, Lincoln, Mitsubishi and many others over the years. I loved cars as far back as I can recall. At age six, my father would point to cars asking me to identify them, which I readily did while sitting on his lap behind the wheel. I remember cherishing the promotional plastic model cars my dad brought home from work, racing hot wheels and slot cars with the neighbor boys, drawing cars…

Hi all. My name is Will and I'm looking for some advice. I live in the CA bay area and I'm looking to find the best way to sell a 1968 Datsun 2000 roadster. My dad recently passed away and has had it sitting in the garage for about 25 years. My mom would like to sell it now but I'm not sure of the best place to find the right people, so I came here. I know it's not a Z car but I figured it was close enough:). Anyway, my dad bought it in 1969 from the original owner. It has about 80,000 miles. It used to run well and has been stored in a nice dry garage ever since. I'll add all the pics and details when I find out where to post it, which leads to my question... …
