Hi Fellow Z Lovers! I have had my 1978 280Z 2+2 for several years now and have been slowly restoring it. It would be nice to finally drive it in the summer of 2010! I am in need of the right and left front bumper guards and also if anyone can give me some advice regarding rims and tires (where to buy/what to buy) I would surely be grateful. :ermm:Thanks

Been a 240z owner since 1972. Original owner and I'm in the process of some upgrades and refurbishment. A lot of great info has always been available from the Classic Z club. I also have a 1976 Honda Goldwing, which I also bought new.

Hi all, I was referred here because I'm looking to buy a z (prior to 76). I've got a lot to learn and until I get my hands dirty, understanding some stuff beforehand should help. I currently have a 2004 RX8 which is in the process of being sold. I try not to count my chickens before they hatch, as they say, but I'm too excited about the prospect of owning one of these beauties. My husband has a 370z which is going through a little reform too. Anyway, if you want to check out our cars, I have them on my blog www.jdmgallery.com. Here's one pic of my current car: Otherwise, I just wanted to say hi to everyone and let you know that I'll be stalking... Christine

Picked up a 74 260Z 2+2 a couple weeks ago here in SoCal. I have owned a 78 280Z and a 90 300ZX, but this is my first 2+2. The car was in the same family for 36 years and I'm hoping to enjoy the car for many years, too. The car has an L28 and carbs from a 240. Runs pretty well although I can practically watch the gas gauge go down. Lights weren't working, but it just took cleaning the contacts in the switch. Still not sure about the dash lights. I also joined HybridZ and have been doing some research there. The main issue I see coming is overheating. The temp gauge climbed quite a bit in stop and go. I'll have to figure something out before the summer heat comes. I went …

i've been a 300zx guy from day one. but i'm excited to say that i own a 77 280z now! don't know much about these z cars, but i'm researching day and nite. this one needs alot of tlc inside and out. but the platform is what i was after. a solid engine and drivetrain. and 100k miles! it has been converted to a clifford intake and holley 4bbl. not sure its exactly what i want, but it will work for now at least! due to the snow here in north arizona, i couldn't get it home to tinker with tonite. wish me luck tomorrow!

Recently purchased 1st series Z number HLS30-19645. Love the car and have wanted one since they first came out. Mine is a numbers matching vehicle with no rust in the floorpans or spare tire well; apparently has been a southwest vehicle all of it's life. Currently working on a few electrical bugs (previous owner was obviously NOT an electrician!) and have already got the carbs right, door locks, windshield wipers, windsield washers, and a few other things working. Looking forward to communicating with other Z owners and hopefully will be able to lend some assistance to other new owners!

It was a nice clear cool Saturday an I hadn't taken any new shots of my car this year. Here are a four. Hope you like. I did some PS work on them using a plugin called Lucas Art. Made them snap a little more.

Hey there, I'm a young guy with a datsun 280z in my garage, have done tons of work, including frame rails from the firewall foreward, along with alot of bodywork and much more, I built up a 305 to drop in, anyway, wanted some input on the engine mounts/rear end work needed, along with brake ideas, and suspension!!! Oh yeah should i buy the floor pan kit, or just bang out some sheet metal and patch in the rust wholes in my floor? anyway, money is limited, but i have about 5 grand i want to put into it over the next couple years.. its very much a side project but i want it to get on the front burner.. Cheers Jeff

Hey everyone. I've been a member here for quite some time, but I'd like to let you guys know about our car club the Grip Syndicate, where I was recently elected pres. We're based in eastern VA, and participate in numerous autocrosses in the area (over 20 last year). We also have our own road trips and road rallies, along with running with NASA at VIR. Check us out at http://www.gripsyndicate.com or on Facebook at Grip Syndicate, and you can see videos, pictures and our calender of events. If anybody is local, feel free to come out to a cruise, meeting, or autocross and run with us. Thanks, Billy Jarrell

Working on a hell of a deal (read free) on a 1982 280ZX turbo that is solid, and 90% complete. Just have to install the engine and transmission and if it bothers me, a newer fresh interior. There are some things involve, but mostly helping a friend move some stuff over the course of a few weekends. My vision for this car is to start back up in some autocross events. I do want to keep the car streetable and presentable but want it to be more of a fun car. Now, just working on the wife to accept another project. Granted, the 65 mustang is mostly done. It's running and road worthy. Just a few more last minute projects I want to complete prior to calling it done for a y…
