Hello everybody! My name is Mário and I'm from Portugal. I'm registered in many clubs and foruns, and I was registered here also, but my computer crashed and just a few hours ago I discover the forum and could register, so here I am! I hope I can learn tons of stuff from our Z's and some other cars too, and also share with you my experience ans know how. I'm the proud owner of a B110, 510 SSS and a 1971 S30. I had restored back in 2006 the B110, a 100% restoration project that lasted 3 years, I think some of you might know the story, because I'm registered in tons of sites and clubs, and the B110 is now the most famous I got. Then I bought the 510 SSS, my …

Hi Z fans! It is with great pleasure that I open this topic! Acquisition of the 240Z on last August 14 was a dream come true! I was looking for one Z long ago, even before the 510 SSS (1600) that I own too! These years I saw some, but for some reason or another never materialized! It was now! The car is a 1973 Datsun 240Z . The historical level and by what I could say the was from Nissan dealership near Oporto. It as "just" 64000 km!! The idea is to restore it in the future , but for now , I'll just some minor improvements and enjoy the car like it is! We have performed a mechanical overhaul, normal, such as: - Change engine oil and filter (carter was cleaned) -…

Grabbed a '75 280z late last year and have been (slowly) trying to get it running. I have always loved the cars, but this is the first chance I've had to own one. Definitely learned a lot so far and looking forward to learning and participating in the forums here! Ben

I’m building a 73 240 wide body car. The stock motor is blown so I’m putting in a L28 motor. I have a 5 spd trans from a 86 300ZX. Can they get together w/o being a song and dance? Or will it be easier to fine a 70’s 5 spd trans?

Hi all I've just signed up to say hello and introduce myself. I like in the the UK (South East England) and have a 370Z as my daily drive (you may have seen it featured on Car SOS). I'm in the process of getting a 1971 240Z on the road - hopefully I will achieve this in the next couple of months. So be prepared for some questions! Cheers, Paul Edit: just to say, the blue Z in my sig pic is not mine, it was featured along with my 370Z in a car mag

Greetings gang, I'm the proud owner of a new-to-you 1971 Z I won on BaT. Looks to be an early Series II. Been wanting a Z for more than 20 years and so I finally went for it. I've also got a restored 1969 SRL311 so I'm no stranger to cool Japanese cars. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-datsun-240z-38/ This is a bone stock car, the only exception is the air pump and piping have been removed. I flew to Minneapolis and drove it home! No issues until I got to Dallas where it started losing power. I originally thought it was an air leak in the fuel line but turns out it was just a clogged fuel filter. Made it home safely otherwise. Also just discovered t…

It's shorts and t-shirt weather here. Today's temperature was 35 degrees F. Last week was -35!!! Envious of everyone who doesn't have a short season to get behind the wheel of their Z. After 5 years of road trips and big smiles, it is time again to repair/fix/update/change/modify and prepare for the next 5 years. New to this site. Just signed up and added a few pictures. This is Z #4. A couple of decades between the first 3 and this one. Currently am preparing a new P79 head. Planning on adding a new engine management system. Will have lots of questions in the next 3 months. Question: What is more fun than getting behind the wheel of your Z? Answer : Not…

Hello friends, enthusiasts, acquaintances, peers, and accidental thread clickers! It has been quite the while since anyone has heard from me and what's going on so I decided to post something up to get started and involved deeper here! I apologize for disappearing, I seem to be doing that too frequently as of late. So, a nice little recap from my couple weeks of absence. Aside from a crazy rush at work I've been squeezing in any time necessary (mostly in the AM when my family can't tell me I'm making a poor financial decision [emoji28]) to plan this Datsun's arrival into my garage. Or my parents' rather... I found a nice silver 240Z in Huntington Beach, Califo…

I've been looking for a front engine rear wheel drive sports car for a while. Everything form RX7-8's, miatas, toyota MR2's, even the new FRS/BRZ toyota 86's.I found this '75 for a price I couldn't pass up. It wasn't really a car I had looked at, but when I went to look at this one, and saw the great condition it was in, I had to get it... It came with the stock front bumper as well as a new, pre-75 fifty pound lighter version that I will be installing. There is almost no rust on this thing, just a few little surface rust issues here and there. The engine runs great as it only has 75K miles on it. One brake line running to the rear has a hole in it so I had to…
