Hey everyone, new here and new to the S30 platform but not to datsun's in general. I'm 23 from Atlantic Canada and currently have a 1971 510 2 door with a 2.1 long rod (45 webers, 530/306 Isky cam, ported peanut head with Z car valves, comp header and plenty more) that I turned every bolt on myself except for the engine machine work. Car is done up in an older style, no newer style parts, even has an old Hitachi 8 track player. Also have a 1974 620 that's bone stock and going to be my parts hauler once it gets freshened up a bit, probably getting a KA here soon. I just picked up a 1977 280z and am very excited to get working on it! The car is from Arizona and a frien…

Greeting to all. I joyously join this site after having discovered an abandoned treasure in a middle aged lady's garage while installing some kitchen appliances at her home. A 1980 zx n/a. I asked her how much and she said 200$. I went to the bank right then. A tuneup and some seafoam and it sits at my house. About to tear into the intake/exhaust to do the gasket and replace vacumn and elec connectors, fuel injectors and such. Sent from my N9130 using Classic Zcar Club mobile

I bought the car from here and when I say here I mean here...from classiczcar forum It is the following 1973 240z, 1973, $ 4,800.00 The guy who sold me the car is really great!!! The seller Malibud or Dan which is his name, gave me exact information of the car and I didn't have any bad surprise when I got i…

Hello from Pennsylvania! I joined this group back in 2010 when I had the urge to get a 280Z but the dream never materialized. The urge has re-awakened so here I am. I have a long love affair with Z cars starting when I was 11 years old in 1978. My father asked me to take a ride one day in New Philadelphia, OH. He was an impulsive person so it didn't surprise me when we pulled into a car dealership. I assume it was a Datsun dealership, but I don't remember if they had stand alone dealerships at that time. Well we walk in and my dad, who was always a car guy, trips over his tongue when he sees this beautiful black 280Z sitting in the showroom. "How much are …

Hello again, Been quite a while since I posted here. How’s this for an update? September 2006 Acquired my uncle’s 1976 2+2. He got it around 1980 or 81. Drove it from Houston, TX to Glendale, CA. It’s not in the best of shape. Has over 300,000 miles on it. October 2006 After getting my 76 2+2 that was originally my uncles checked out at a shop in Glendale, CA, it was evident that the car was a rusty mess. Too many years in east Texas rain. Began looking for a rolling shell. Engine/transmission OK, so are interior parts and other odds and ends. Gonna keep the rims too. 14” Western Mesh from who knows how long ago. …

Greetings Fellow Z enthusiasts! I've been lurking ever since I purchased my 76 280Z about this time last year. I figured it was high time I finalized my account and joined in. You have already been very helpful with various posts and how to articles. I really enjoy being a part of a dedicated and enthusiastic community of like minded individuals. Attached is a picture of my new (to me) toy. She is a 1976 model year 280Z (manufactured 9/75). This was a very well taken care of one owner car. Aside from a few unique touches the previous owner had installed she is a true survivor with original paint, motor and interior. I've been refreshing some wear and tear…

My name is Demetrio, 29y/o from Orange County CA and looking to buy my first Z. One problem though, I'm not sure if I want a 2 seater or the 2+2. I'm leaning towards the 2+2 so I can drive around with the family and are a little bit more rare (74-75 pre smog). But I'm also thinking screw it and just get the 2 seater for me. Now personalizing the Z, I offroad and love going to the desert and dunes so I've thought of turning the Z into a rally style car. Or, getting the right wheel/tire combo and a good stance. Not slammed but slightly lower them stock. I welcome all comments and suggestions. I can't wait to post a picture of the Z when I buy one!

Hi i am new to this group. My name is Joey. I am a girl who used to be in a band called DollSquad. Thanks for accepting me! This is a photo of "cookie"" my 260z. He was my first car and I bought him in 1988. The other day my hubbie and i were driving down blackburn road and this guy kept tooting us a number of times and at each traffic light making begging signs and yelling out his window to my hubbie "please sell it to me"" so funny! Has anyone else had this happen? Anyway i was also wondering are there girls (or boys) that have Zeds and also have and love all things retro? Eg have 60s or 70s homes, clothes, vinyl, furniture, hair etc If so lets have a ride!! I am dyi…

I'm Zach. I live in San Diego. I just bought my first Datsun. A 1970 240z. She was produced in July of 1970 and ended up in my hands 46 years later. I believe I am the 3rd or 4th owner. I am an active duty Navy RN and I work in the Emergency Dept in San Diego. I've been in the Subaru community for the past 10 years or so and am a big fan of drag racing. Original plans for the car was to put a RB25 engine in but that may change! Man these Mikuni carbs sounds phenomenal. Anyways, just joined this morning on my shift at work at zero dark thirty when we weren't being bombarded by sore throats and knee pain! She has a lot done to her already, pretty clean from what I can see. …

My first comment since joining last April. I would like to share some of my experiences owning my Z if I may. I have owned Christine (her nickname) since 1978 and she currently has 176,898 miles under her hood. She is in better health than I am, however I'm pushing 85 1/2 years so she does have an advantage. During the 38 years I have owned her the only mechanical failure has been a water pump which I replaced about 25 years ago. In the process of removing the old pump one of the bolts snapped off inside the head. I installed the new pump minus that one bolt and the pump has never leaked. Within the last two years I had the brake system rebuilt as well as the A/C…
