   Hi, My name is Clay, I am in the Navy and currently stationed in San Diego, California. I bought a 1970 Datsun 240Z about 3 years ago. It has been kept in my garage and only driven every now and then because of my desire to restore it. I really enjoy reading the posts here and hope to continue to learn anything and everything about our cars. Clay

   Hi There. I have been offered a free '73 that has been parked for the last couple of years. Apparently the hood release cable broke and the car got parked and left. What would you guys think needs replacing in starting the car up? I was thinking that I would use fresh gas, clean out the float bowls, and replace items as neccesary just to get the car to run. Since my experience is wholly with MGs, I thought that I would ask you guys what you thought might need work. Thanks, Mike

   Hi.....have been to this site many times, although haven't posted. This is a great site that has helped me greatly. I'm not really a car guy, but getting there. Bought first non running car that had set for 10 years in a machine shed from original owner, 71 orange 240z in 08, not running, towed it home. Added Z therapy carbs, re manufactured distributor, pertronic ignition, ceramic header, urethane bushings, including rear lower pin bushing (that was a little hard), new master cyl, slave cyl, kyb shocks, cut front springs to level car, had gas tank redone (it was bad, like new now), re manufactured brake calipers, wheel cylinders, all rubber hoses, had…

   New to the group. I have a 75 280z and a 74 260z. I bought the 75 for my son three years ago and we have been working on it when he visits for the summer. We finally admitted defeat as it was too far gone with rust, it was a WV car. I recently picked up the 74 but haven't started on it as of yet. Not going to go overboard with it, a massive clean up, new wheels/tires, new bushings and brakes along with seat swap and carpet. I will be using the 75 for any parts that will transfer over and then plan to sell it as a parts car, it has a good running engine so might recoup some of my initial cost on it. Added a few pics.
