The Oklahoma Z Car Club is hosting this year's Midwest Z Festival. The dates are August 29th - September 1st in Tulsa. Events include: Track Day at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit Jackie Cooper Nissan Car Show Go Kart madness at JRP Speedway Awards Banquet Northeast Oklahoma Cruise. Nice turnout and beautiful weather, we hung out for a couple of hours and then drove down to the old Fudruckers where they have a car show on the first Saturday of the month and hung out checked some nice cars and showed them some import muscle Even had a couple of S30's so up, man can't wait for mine to be done to take it to a meet. Through the efforts of ZONC's executive board, on July 12, 2008 plan to attend ZONC's Charity Car Show hosted by Hooters of Sacramento. The car show is open to all Datsun/Nissan Z's, 510's and Roadsters with net proceeds being donated to the Susan Komen Breast Cancer Fund. The cost is $15.00 per car. Hi all, This is to announce the Old Town Car Show held on June 14, in Fort Collins, Colorado. It starts at 11:00 and goes to 5:00. Cost is $15 ($20 after June 6). kenz240z and myself have done the show and are doing it again this year. It is primarily a hot rod show, but the Zs get a lot of attention from the crowds. Just got this announcement: High School Drag Racing at PIR starts up this spring! Starting March 16, Portland International Raceway Dragstrip will host the High School Drag Racing Series, as part of the Wed. night E.T. Drag racing Series. The 11 race series is open to all registered high school students and will be contested March 16, April 16, April 30, May 14, May 28, June 11, June 25, July 9, July 30, and August 13. .....I asked this in another thread, but maybe it was a little off topic. It use to be held at Doheney State Beach every October or so. Last one I know of was in 2000. Does anyone know what happened, or if there are plans to ressurrect it? It was a great mixture of Z's, Roadsters, 510's, and a few surprises. I would love to see it come back.

There was going to be a Datsun Fun run this weekend in and around Hood River OREGON. Please be advised it has been canceled for now because of snow expected in the area down to 500'...... I guess the "reschedule info" will be posted at www.datsunsnw.org when they figure out a new date.

Any of our NJ contingent have success/advice with the historic vehicle registration? I have made a move to get "QQ" plates for my Z. I know I am limited to going primarily to shows and club meets, but I think NJ is trying to allow up to 1,000 miles of "recreational" use per year. As my Z would probably not come close to that, I am wondering if there are any pros/cons to QQ plates and what others' experiences have been...
