Just wanted to share my Saturday drive with you all, as it was soooooo enjoyable. Heading out of Ventura and around Lake Casitas, starts the drive with some nice twisty back roads. North of the lake wanders around until nearing Carpenteria (I'm now on hwy 192) and head toward and though Santa Barbara. This section of 192 goes though the gettos (just kidding) of Santa Barbara with many many curves but, since there are also many homes driving is very relaxed and slow. Leaving Santa Barabara I head up San Marcos Pass (hwy 154) and over the hill and head toward Slovang. So far the day has been super nice with not too much traffic. Ahhhh, the smells of tasty pastery while cru…

Greetings Drivers, Here's the latest NCDA track news and information. Please note that we just added a track opportunity for you at Thunderhill in exactly 6 weeks, so check it out and sign-up before it sells out! We'll see you in the paddock! ***************************************** NEW!! Relevant info and website here: http://ncda.lazypenguin.net/events.html The best thing about this event is the price - $150 and a discount for a 2nd Driver if you're sharing a car with someone! Some clubs are really gouging drivers at Track events these days because of supply and demand. Fortunately for you, we don't believe in this approach and have priced this event to be afford…

I recently bought a 78 Z and would like to find others in the Kansas City area that know a lot about working on these cars. The only car I've ever done any work on is my Pulsar and I've only done simple stuff. I'm still fairly new at working on cars. Anyway my Z will need some work and I'd rather find someone who knows how to do it and will let me help them so I can learn. I'd much rather pay an individual who knows all about these cars instead of taking it to a shop where I can't help them do it plus get charged a fortune. I live in Olathe, KS actually so if you live near there that's even better. Right now the only major thing I think the car needs is likely rear wheel …

The Monterey Historics at Laguna Seca Raceway are coming August 17th -19th and this year the Marque will be the Indy Roadsters. Throughout the 1930's, 40's and 50's the Indy Roadsters were the big difference from the rest of the auto racing world. The roadsters, some of them built in the drivers garages, could put a driver on the track for $10,000. They were the days that driving talent meant just as much as the speed and stamina of the car. Names like Jones, Foyt, Andretti, Vucovitch, Johncock came up the ranks of neighborhood racetracks for a try at the big time, and big money without ground effects, computers and much of the safety equipment that we all take for gran…
