Hi to all I'm looking for a 240Z or early 260Z (with roundtops, mods to earlier specs) to buy. Electronic ignition a plus. Car must be rust free and clean. I need a car that can be driven without worry, with cold a/c, preferably a 5 speed mod (but 4 is okay) with good (but not concours) paint. I can keep up the maintenance or give what I'm not comfortable with to a shop I know well. But, what I don't want, and will not buy, is a "project" or "90% complete" or "just needs some TLC", etc. I will pay fairly for the right car, and a finder's fee is not out of the question. Hi! I am trying to locate and hopefully purchase the Z car in which I won the ITS Mid Div Championship in 1987. I sold the car to a young man on the East Coast in the early 1990's when I was living in Charlestown, RI. The car at that time had new black paint with gold racing stripes running front to rear. It had gold BRE wheels. This was a real 1970 240Z with the trunk vents. The car was pure racer and would have been very expensive to convert to street, so I'm assuming it is still in race trim. Greetings Z Drivers! I am organizing a Spring Fling Z Car Fun Run for Sunday, May 15th at 12 noon. We’ll meet up at Jones Beach State Park parking field 5 in the NW corner. After arrivals and introductions we’ll caravan East on Ocean Parkway either to Joe Salerno’s Gilgo Beach house (depending on how many people participate...he can fit a dozen or so) or Robert Moses State Park where we will find a barbecue grill and whip up a little feast. It’ll be a BYOB situation but I’ll make sure we have enough plates, cups, napkins, bibs, charcoal, lighter fluid, emergency contacts, crash helmets and firehoses.
